Purpose of the Trust
The restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement, beautification and reconstruction of the church of St Andrew’s Church (the “Church”) in the diocese of Oxford and the county of Oxfordshire and of monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass, furniture, ornaments and chattels in the Church and of the churchyard belonging to the Church;
## Report of Activities
The Charity was entered on the Register of Charities on 20[th] June 2014. Fund raising commenced from 1[st] July 2014 and continued in the year to 30[th] June 2021. Standing orders and one off donations are sought from the parishioners of East and West Hagbourne. Due to restrictions from the pandemic no fund raising event were held during the year. Emphasis is placed on the secular nature of the charity and that the 900year-old church is increasingly used as a community meeting place in addition to being a place of worship. The charity has been registered with HMRC for the claiming of Gift Aid.
Grants are made by the trustees completely independently of the PCC and are considered on the basis that the PCC seek funding from other sources also. A grant of £3120 was made to the church in the year. There are no employees or volunteers in
the trust and expenses in the year were limited to bank charges and a small contribution to the church Christmas tree festival.
