||Saturday morning and Festival services and Kiddushim were well<br>attended and enjoyed at Yavneh College. Guest speakers across the<br>wider community addressed us on a variety of cross communal interests.<br>We employed a Hazan/ Cantor on a short contract to help lead our<br>services whilst we began the search for our new Rabbi  and this gave an<br>uplifting spiritual quality to our community.<br>We developed a Community Enrichment committee to lead a cohesive<br>approach to a calendar of events which included:<br>•<br>our annual Purim programme of 4 Megilla readings, Seudah and<br>play (this year written by our teens and produced by our young<br>adult members)<br>•<br>Sheshbesh tournament<br>•<br>Lag l' Omer bonfire, BBQ and outdoor activities<br>•<br>Camp Rambam attracted both our regular and new campers for10<br>days of summer tent camping<br>•<br>Simchat Torah community Dinner and Lunch to honour our<br>Hatanim<br>•<br>Eishet Hayil kiddush to honour our Eishet Hayil<br>•<br>Mid week talk and discussion by the son of a Holocaust survivor<br>•<br>Community Dinner and Lunch with the Senior Rabbi of the<br>Spanish and Portuguese Sephardi Community<br>•<br>Hanukkah candle lighting and activities for children and parents<br>•<br>Tu b'Shvat  fruit feast for all the family<br>Our Welfare team helped raise and allocate funds to members and non<br>members in need. This included disbursements throughout the year, at<br>festival times, assistance to attend Camp Rambam. The team also<br>provided and sourced pastoral support across the community.<br>Our Rabbi Search Team consisting of non - Board members, researched,<br>defined and began our project to find a suitable Community Rabbi.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 March 2023** 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable  Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
