**benefit)**|To advance the religion and related culture of Sephardi Jews in the
London and Hertfordshire area, for the benefit of the local and
surrounding Jewish communities, through prayer, celebration of religious
festivals and meetings/events and the support of our community during
times of need.| |---|---| ||Saturday morning and Festival services and Kiddushim were well
attended and enjoyed at Yavneh College. Guest speakers across the
wider community addressed us on a variety of cross communal interests.
We employed a Hazan/ Cantor on a short contract to help lead our
services whilst we began the search for our new Rabbi and this gave an
uplifting spiritual quality to our community.
We developed a Community Enrichment committee to lead a cohesive
approach to a calendar of events which included:

our annual Purim programme of 4 Megilla readings, Seudah and
play (this year written by our teens and produced by our young
adult members)
•
Sheshbesh tournament
•
Lag l' Omer bonfire, BBQ and outdoor activities
•
Camp Rambam attracted both our regular and new campers for10
days of summer tent camping
•
Simchat Torah community Dinner and Lunch to honour our
Hatanim
•
Eishet Hayil kiddush to honour our Eishet Hayil
•
Mid week talk and discussion by the son of a Holocaust survivor
•
Community Dinner and Lunch with the Senior Rabbi of the
Spanish and Portuguese Sephardi Community
•
Hanukkah candle lighting and activities for children and parents
•
Tu b'Shvat fruit feast for all the family
Our Welfare team helped raise and allocate funds to members and non
members in need. This included disbursements throughout the year, at
festival times, assistance to attend Camp Rambam. The team also
provided and sourced pastoral support across the community.
Our Rabbi Search Team consisting of non - Board members, researched,

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination.
