It is a large, ambitious club which is always mindful of its amateur status.

Section D Achievements and performance Despite the challenges of managing Co-vid 2019, the club was **Summa** r **y of the main** able to put together a coaching and playing p rogramme f rom **achievements of the** June once the guidance made this possible. The club secured **cha** r **ity** d **u** r **ing the yea** r grant funding (including a business g rant f rom the local authority) to help purchase the necessary PPE as well as three gazebos to replace changing rooms that could not be used. We continued to hold meetings at executive and rt ustee level, albeit virtually. Our sponsors stood by us despite their own challenges, and we found new sponsors for our 1[st] XI who compete at the highest level of recreational c ricket. Other sponsors helped with the upgrade of our scoreboard, installed a bench and signage on our clubhouse. Our landlords, the Town Council, resurfaced the car park.

On the field we remained competitive; indeed teams in our junior section reached the semi-final o r final stages of all three Essexwide competitions at U12, U16 and U19, with the U16s winning their competition. Three sponsors contributed to a new set of shirts for the final.

We reviewed our governance model and appointed three new trustees.
