OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The Trustees continue to be guided by the objectives set out in the CIO Association document. The Trustees are mindful of their need to be appraised of current developments in the treatment of leukemia and related blood cancers and are therefore in continual dialogue with medical staff at the CLatterbridge Cancer Centre whose Contributions to the development of the Bloom Appeal are gratefuLly received. ACHIEVEMENTSAND PERFORMANCE The period under review is the ninth fullyear of activityforthe BLOOM Appeal. Duringthis period, we have focused on raising income to perform our charitable activities. To this end. the Charity has been successful indicatingthatthe public appreciate and support our activities. By th8 end of th8 period. we have been accepting and assessing grant requests in th8 total amount of £ 70832 We must thank the many individuals who have entered in to fundraising events on our behalf. Without their commitment and effort, it would not be possible to meet our objectives. We continue to look for Suitable projects both to ralse funds and for the Charityto support. While the Health Authorities and individuals continue to experience the effects of spending cuts, we wantto ensure that the monies we raise ar8 wisely spent and provide maximum benefit to patients. RESERVES The General Fund amounted to £166514.00 as at 30tn Juné 2024. This includes restricted fund8 of £85000.00 which were received during the period, which has been allocated to future grant giving, and patient support, the salary of a PHD Student, and a 15% retention which will Drovide the Charitywith sufficip.nt reserves to Avoid finaneiAI difficulties. The balance of reserves will be used to meet the Charities, aims. The trustees considerthe level of general funds to be prudent h8ving regard to the Charity's antiCiP2t@d future reouiroments.

COMPLIANCE AND STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS The Financial statements have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis, the governing documents does not require thatthe accounts are prepared usingthe accruals basis. RISK The major risks to which the Charity is exposed as identified by the Trustees h8ve been reviewed and systems have been established to manage those risks.
