We managed to get more young people Involved In actlvlties
throughout the year and we used them for our main aim of building
brldges befv•een communities. Some examples w8 have carrled out
In re8PeCt of this objective is as follows:
Despite an unprecedented yèar of covid lockdowns, our
young people at Kumon Y'all have been busy ensuring that
the Covid front Ilnè heroes wero supported. Our young
people made many vldeos to support the various key
workers in NHS and èducatSon, Just to name a few.
We 8Otup a Blg Blke Cycling project wlth an organisation
called 'We are Cycllng, and 'CyclingUK North,. Our young
people offerod freè bike repair services to NHS and key
workers. Thls became so popular with the key workers we
were supportlng, we develop a 'plck up, and 'drop o
8ervice8 whlch the key workers were very grateful for.

ung learners all over the world wlth lockdown
earning, we decided to hold Free Engllsh
Lesso
or young students aged 11 to 16. We held those
ges
s for half an hour every weekday and had a global
audience which were gratsful for the free lessons via
Facebook live.

Furtherniore, our Duke of Edlnburgh award scheme has been
running with another successful year with more partnèrships
with other organisalions and establishments as we hèlped
them run the Award for thelr partlclpants as well. Through
these 3uGGes3ful partnerships, Kumon Y'all grew its DofE
participants significantly and progressed onto further
sectlons of the Award. Our young people have progressed
from Bronze onto Silver and Gold levels of the award with
blgger numbers.
Our young p8opl& helped bulld green spaces by supporting a
local organisation and group of people. We helped build a
mounlaln blko trall.
Another project we had to grow a su8talnable future for the
next generatlon where we challenge ourselves to plant
10,000 trees
This year due to our young people's hard efforts and resilient
nature in ensurlng that bridges were built between people
and organisations through friendship, we came second pla¢e
in a National Award. Our young people were recognised for
their efforts in selflessly always putting other people's needs
first and for bein

others.

## **1. Accounting Policies:** 

**(A) Basis of preparation** These financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities. In accordance with the statement of recommended practice (SORP)."Accounting and reporting by charities" issued in January 2005. 

**(B) Fund accounting** General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for the use and discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and has not been put aside for other purposes. Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions which has been raised by the charity for a specific purposes.  The cost of raising and administering such funds are charged against the specific fund. 

**(C) Investment income** Income from investments and from rental income is included in the SOFA in the year in which it is receivable. 

- **(D) Incoming resources** All incoming resources are included in the SOFA when the charity is in receipt of the income 

Gifts in kind donated for distribution are included at valuation and recognised as income when they are distributed to the projects.  For legacies, entitlement is the earlier of the charity been notified of and impending distribution of the legacy being received.  Donated facilities are included included at the value to the charity when this can be quantified and a third party is bearing the cost. 

**(E) Resources expended** all expenditure is accounted for on a Cash basis and has been classified under the heading that aggregate all costs relating to the category.  Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on the basis consistent with use of resources. 

- **(F) Tangible Fixed Assets** tangible fixed assets costing more than £250 are capitalised and included at cost including incidental expenses of acquisitions.
