_GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 1 ## **GGCC Annual Trustees Meeting For the year end 2019/20** ## **Those Present** - **Julian Reddihough JR** - **Brent Summers BS** - **Harry Moyse HM** ## **Opening Prayers** Harry opened in Prayer ## **1.Financials** **JR** We currently have approx. £28,500 in the account, similar to last year, if a forthcoming rebate for gift aid is taken into account, and an outstanding amount from the Avenue Trust. **JR** Outgoings continue to be modest, just the continuing costs maintaining the domain name treeof.life and thetreeof.life and themeaningandpurposeof.life ## **2. Staff appointments/ Trustees’ roles** **JR** Remains working on the project compiling apologetics under different topic headings when free from Enter into Life Work, that will answer questions and objections about Christianity. **BS** Is presently working for us one and a half days a week compiling testimonies. **HM** since the last trustees meeting, has been doing consultancy work, which has given him a lot of time to focus on GGCC projects. He has written a large amount of documentation for the tree of life app, as well as working with John Lewis to design its architecture. Additionally, using the discord using the Discord API has prototyped _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 2 and tested some of its unique features, and is preparing to conduct multi-user tests. This has all been done without charge. Due to changing family circumstances and a full-time job offer, may have to dramatically reduce the amount of time he puts into GGCC projects. He explained; ‘I have been offered a full time normal job, which is finite element modelling, for structures, or for example for vehicles that you might crash’. **JR** what do you need financially if you worked full time for GGCC instead of taking this other job? **HM** This is a conflict of interests. Speaking, then, not as a trustee but a contractor who believes in our work, I would be happy to half my normal salary, and take 18 K for 20 hours a week for 12 months. Currently we have a demo version which is ready for multi-user tests. As we conduct these tests, we could build a community around it. This would help us validate everything we are developing, and make sure that it works well with people before we start investing money into an app. This would also be hugely useful for funders. Over a year I would expect to grow its users base from 10 or so to thousands of people – and see hopefully close to a million interactions in total. It will show faithfulness to the trusts we seek funding from, so they see its not just an idea but actually functional. We have a great vision, but at the moment we cannot show we have executed the vision. I feel this is very much in our grasp, not many hurdles as there were before. **JR** new legislation must be considered concerning Trustees and benefits/payments, I will check, but we all must. **HM** We can have a conversation with Matt Jermyn my housemate who is an expert on this. _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 3 ## **3. GGCC Activities and new developments** ## **JR gave a summary** **JR I have this year graduated and been ordained as a Minister of the Gospel after attending the CfaN Bootcamp school run by Daniel Kolenda and Peter Vandenberg** . This will enable me to begin a Crusade ministry, which will include, large and smaller Crusades, town outreaches, schools’ missions, and conferences and other church events and meetings. **JR This require the formation of a new ministry to be called Enter into Life Ministries which with the agreement of the trustees will be part of the GGCC charity** . This could be something that **HM** and **BS** could have involvement in, in the future. Currently **JR** is in discussions to plan crusades and missions for 2021. **JR** I have at my own expense procured the name **enterinto.life** for the ministry, and I think this name fits well with **treeof.life** . I will be able to advertise ‘The Tree of Life’ whilst doing ‘Enter into Life’ evangelistic work – the two will work together well. Both **BS** and **HM** agreed that **Enter into Life** could be part of GGCC as a new ministry. **JR However, I propose the finances for ‘Enter into Life’** will be kept completely separate from the ‘ **Tree of Life’** and any other separate GGCC projects. This will require and additional bank account to be opened at some stage for designated donations. A fully functional ministry site for **enterinto.life** is near to completion. **JR** has so far paid all expenses for Enter into Life out of his own pocket until funding for this ministry is underway. **JR** states that Tree of Life retains the priority for funding, and doesn’t see a conflict of interest as both ministries will appeal to different audiences. **BS** – Is now working in **cooperation with Simon in his new work in Whittingham Avenue estate** , ‘The Experience Project’ in Southend, in an area of deprivation, where the church had been previously closed. ‘ **Tree of Life’ and ‘Enter into Life’ could possibly be incorporated into this ministry in future** . **JR Options remain open of working with team of Chaplains in Southend, with the idea of a** _**Spirit Café**_ **along the high street being called ‘The Tree of Life’** . But _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 4 this has been on hold all this year due to Julian being at CfaN and until the Covid restrictions are over. ## **4.Tree of Life progress report** **JR I have this year Graduated and been ordained as a Minister of the Gospel at the CfaN Bootcamp school run by Daniel Kolenda and Peter Vandenberg** This has opened up unprecedented new opportunities for GGCC and specifically the Tree of Life, that we could not have foreseen even a year ago. **It has however lead to a reappraisal of the aims of the Tree of Life Project,** and together with me being away has led to some delay of the progress we would have made if we had continued on the path envisaged at the last trustees meeting (Julian’s acceptance and approval on the Bootcamp had not been approved at that time) However the net gains far outweigh this. ## **More ideas of the Aims and scope of Tree of Life** **JR For the record, considering developments with me attending CfaN, in order that it can become a CfaN approved initiative, I proposed that we the trustees agreed to change the scope of the app to make it a true Online Evangelist app with 5 Inputs on the Home page, and it was agreed:** - **Preaching Gospel Messages.** - **Interactive/community.** - **Apologetic/ answering objections.** - **Healing Testimonies/ Miracle evidence.** - **Evangelistic events in the user’s locality – section and resource for evangelists.** ## **Tree of Life progress report (cont’d)** **JR We have now become a CfaN graduate program called The Online Evangelist Tree of Life Initiative.** Other Graduates interested/in the team are: - Laura Clayton, who is based in Orlando with access to CfaN. - Tyrelle Smith, a Christian author in Canada. **And 8 other graduates** , who have expressed interest and/or offered specific help. We are attending regular CfaN student Initiative updates online. _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 5 ## **JR We have a temporary promotional website linked in to thetreeof.life and** **now treeof.life** which we are grateful for Brent for his work But we have all agreed that it needs to be upgraded by paying a professional developer to enhance it to appeal to big donors. **JR CfaN has offered its database of testimonies.** This offer will be accessed this year and JR is discussing how this will happen with BS, and accessing doctor evidence compiled by African Crusade Director John Darku, who has worked virtually from the beginning with Reinhard Bonnke and who Julian met at the 2020 CfaN planning meeting whilst at Bootcamp. **JR A specific promotional film for The Tree of Life has been asked for from Daniel Kolenda** , but as of yet we are waiting for this. In the meantime, we do have one which has been made by Daniel Kolenda for all graduates, which we are authorized to use, and this could be completely adequate. It supports JR and will adda a big name to our supporters. **About 80 Trusts have been identified by BS that we will approach** We agree that we will not do this until the new site is ready, as it will be part of our presentation to future donors and supporters. **BS** and **JR** agree we can prioritize this list. **HM** This is professional fundraiser way to do it. **JR We have previously all agreed that we should look at a plan to be made for this promotional site by Rodolfo,** who made Daniel Kolenda’s site. **We have Julian’s personal ministry website,** being made by Rodolfo (the developer of Daniel Kolenda’s site), which will shortly going to be reviewed by the trustees for this decision to be made as to whether to use him for the Tree of Life as an addendum to this meeting within a few weeks and added to these minutes . ## **5. Harry’s Tree of Life work update** **Editors Note HM** had prepared a full presentation that required screen share on the Zoom, and at this meeting, **JR** as the host, was unfortunately unable to get it to operate. So, we the trustees agree that the presentation prepared by **HM** _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 6 including the graphics, are included for information purposes in full, as an addendum to the minutes of this meeting with grateful thanks to **BM** . So, at this trustees meeting, **HM** said he would give a brief summarization of his presentation, which follows; **JR** Opened by asking a question left at the previous trustees meeting. He asked **HM** if there would still need to be a full six-month proof of concept for the Thinker software. **HM** The Key is, the proof of concept is now competed. We now have a basic Thinker demo version. I have done consultancy work – I’ve had some spare time I have used the spare time to develop Algorithms and Data stretchers Me and John Lewis and will have gone through it, and it will save money in the development, JL predicts 40K. It will give a better end product. I have learnt also 2 new programming languages. I found this could link the back end of thinker into **Discord Interface** – **it’s a rival to Facebook** – its big within the gaming community. You can click on the room and it can be private between you and friends. I realised that this would be perfect for building community. **JR** are you saying you can connect to it to use it within our app? **HM** we can use it they allow you to build bits onto it, piggyback on top of it, so we can use the front end and only build the back end. This means its is just backend that I need to worry about. **HM** we can grow our own community without having a fully developed app. I would like to get to a community starting at 10 and growing to around 10K so that we can get feedback from them as we develop. This means we don’t dump thousands of pounds into something that people don’t like or use. This is going to be significant when we talk to the trusts, as they will _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 7 want to see that we are already achieving our goals, and we will be able to illustrate that all the ideas we have been developing these years genuinely help. **HM** then explained the benefit of having a working prototype, and showing to the public with the illustration of the wright brothers and the first airplane. **HM** The strange advantage of discord is that I can loan people the use of the prototype. I can give people access to the prototype, and us that to raise money. Currently I am consulting with Lawyers, and a professor of Logic who use deductive arguments, have expressed interest in it. This could potentially be an income stream. We could sell it via Patreon. **JR** How can we decide how this can work if people start paying for this **JR** We could make it that payments to HM came as a proportion of how this comes in to the Tree of Life charity. i.e. if £100 pounds comes in Harry could get £70, as an example, or £80 or whatever the rest to the Tree of Life. **HM** This would have to be thought through carefully after the meeting. **JR** We also need to consider the law on these payments. **JR** how many rooms and what would they be called in Thinker in the demo version. 8 text rooms and 5 voice rooms. **JR** can people go off into separate rooms. **BS** I’ve never used discord. **HM** we can set the rules for the rooms equivalent to keys. Moderation is going to not necessary with a smaller audience. **JR** How does thinker’s software work if it’s on discord another person’s software. **HM** The key idea of the thinker software is helping people to think collectively, and that could be about abstract things like apologetics and theology, or it could be for everyday things. _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 8 Large numbers of people on discord play massive multiplayer video games. We could potentially rent them the use of their bot and that could help them to manage communal decision making – should their guild attack someone or invest in something? ## **6. Brents Tree of Life work update** ## **BS Gave a brief presentation** **BS** About the testimonies. I have countless videos on popular platforms, You tube, ministry sites and ministries etc - Dozens of links to links (we need permissions to use) - I created a key system to categorize whether the person healed has medical evidence, no medical evidence or potential medical evidence as part of the follow up process - Collated the details of other links and websites online (worldwide) that have testimony content within various categories. These will be useful for requesting permissions, unique content or for linking to in the apps role as a hub. - Reached out by email to individuals and linked them to our promo website by way of an introduction to the vision we have been given by the Lord and how we believe that allowing them to share their testimony with us could further the kingdom of God with global reach and impact. - Also reached out to many Christians who already have a platform or platforms on social media that whether fully or in part includes testimonies (within _all_ categories, not just healing and/or miracles) and shared the vision of the Tree of Life app with them. Potentially access to a significant number of testimonies (in particular those in the UK of the US) could be granted with one of these people on board. Some of the people that I have already approached, that have said that they do not currently have the time or that they would pray about it first, could be given another opportunity to get involved, when the new look promo website goes live. ## **Rutendo’s video clips was discussed, which JR liked** _GGCC Trustees meeting 28/11/20_ 9 ## **HM Suggested that we can have more positive responses from friends and friends of friends (in addition to the other avenues we are pursuing, since there is some form of relationship already established)** **HM** we may need to think of legal permissions required to use these **BS** It is something I have raised with people I have asked including doctors. In the content of my emails, I have requested that any sensitive information on documents would not be visible. **JR** How many do we have with doctors’ evidence? **BS** I’m working on it. I will feel more confident when we have the new promo site up that we have previously approached, or reached out to will be more assured about who we are and that we are endorsed by CfaN **JR** mentioned the CfaN Bonnke ‘Raised from the Dead’ testimony, which we could have as the flagship video. **JR** Will **BS** use these two avenues to chase up for testimony links as he mentioned last year? - The Wall testimony project, based at Chroma Church Leicester, pastored by Steve Barber - David Chambers of Cfan UK. **JR** mentioned he is now in contact with Steve Barber of Chroma Church, so it makes the link with the Wall of Prayer people easier as they are based there. **JR** Also reminded Brent that we can contact **Dr Chauncy Crandall** about his testimonies of raising people from the dead, as well as **Sid Roth ‘Its Supernatural’** TV producers and **CfaN’s John Darku,** and we can do this straight after the revised website is live. ## **7. Brainstorming.** **BS** On the apologetics I have been watching the videos of a man called **Nephilim free** , who I think would be useful for Julian to link with. **HM** A good point to make on censorship is that Discord is against You Tubes censorship policy. **JR** Asked Harry what happened to HM call to Dr Sam Jones – he was going to to see if he would be part of _**the healing testimony authentication.**_ **JR** also mentioned that we would need to do a lot of co ordination with Brent in the next few months after the website is up to create a package for the publicity. ## **9.
