5 ## Year Snapshot – How was Food Issued? - During the year, 1,069 vouchers (2021/22 - 870) vouchers were fulfilled providing support for 3,208 people (2021/22 - 2,476) Of these 1,457 were children (2021/22 - 1,082) - A total of 29,425kg (2021/22 - 23,048kg) of food and household items was distributed to local people in need with an additional 1,216 kg to other foodbanks in need of supplies - _Figures do not represent number of individuals, they include people / families who need to make repeat visits_ 6 ## Year Snapshot – How was Food Issued? - 577 (54%) [2021/22 - 347 (40%) ] vouchers issued were for people living in the wards of Towcester and Roade. - We have over 30 active local partner agencies who issue vouchers to those in crisis - Around 13% of food was given to West Northants Council clients, 16% to families referred to us by schools and nurseries and 5% to Grand Union Housing customers. 49% to clients who received a voucher directly from the Foodbank. - 32% of vouchers were for single adult households - 17% were for households of 2 or more adults - 20% for single parent families - 22% were for families (Refugees are included in the above figures) 7 ## Year Snapshot – How was Food Issued? **----- Start of picture text -----**

_Other – households of 3 or more adults_ 9 ## Additional Highlights - We continue to provide a range of fresh fruit and vegetables for our guests to choose from, as well as a selection of toiletries. - Over December 2022 we provided 106 Christmas Food Hampers and gave out 117 books and 61 book tokens to the children and teenagers in families accessing the foodbank - We joined in St Lawrence’s Christmas Tree Festival - Over the year we joined with the community supporting Ukrainians fleeing their country. 10 ## Towcester Foodbank Online - Our new Social Media Trustee significantly increased our profile and activity enabling us to have a far greater reach within our target audience. - We introduced a link from our website to our Just Giving Page making it easier for supporters to donate, and our now fully registered to recover Gift Aid on any donations. - We are signed up to the Bank the Food App, enabling donors to respond in terms of stock to our real-time needs. 11 ## Additional Activities - During February and March, we issued 58 supermarket vouchers to clients as part of the Household Support Fund 3 scheme run by WNC & Northamptonshire Community Foundation (NCF). Using a grant of £5,444 subsequently received from NCF we set up our own account with Huggg and issued a further 91 supermarket vouchers to our clients during May and June. - The partnership with Citizens Advice continues with an adviser present at both sessions during the week.
