## A Thank You to Our Donors 

## Without our donors we would not be able to help anyone….. 

- In total nearly 24 tons of food (23,519 kg) was donated in 2021/22 

- In addition, 3,355 kg of food was purchased using £6,525  from monetary donations

## Year Snapshot – How was Food Issued? 

- During the year, 870 vouchers were fulfilled providing support for 2,476* people (1,082* of these were children) 

- A total of 23,048kg of food and household items was distributed to local people in need with an additional 2,249kg to other foodbanks in need of supplies

## Year Snapshot – How was Food Issued? 

- 347 (40%) vouchers issued were for people living in the town of Towcester 

- We have over 30 active local partner agencies who issue vouchers to those in crisis 

- Around 20% of food was given to West Northants Council clients, 20% to families referred to us by schools and nurseries and 4% to Grand Union Housing customers.  48% to clients who received a voucher directly from the Foodbank. 

- 32% of vouchers were for single adult households 

- 26% were for households of 2 or more adults 

- 21% for single parent families 

- 21% were for families

## Additional Highlights 

We started offering our guests refreshments again as we eased out of COVID Restrictions 

We started to provide a limited selection of fresh fruit & veg purchased using monetary donations 

Over December 2021 we provided 96 Christmas Food Hampers and gave out 110 books and 57 book tokens to the children and teenagers in families accessing the foodbank 

We joined in St Lawrence’s Christmas Tree Festival 







## Towcester Foodbank Online 



- Introduction of a QR Code to enable quick, direct access to the donations page of our website 

- Significantly stepped up social media activity on Facebook and Twitter to communicate with potential donors, supporters and people who need our help 

- Changes made to our website to make it easier for people to use and find the information they need 




## Additional Activities 

- During August and early September the Foodbank issued (on behalf of WNC) 61 household support fund vouchers - distributing £6,100 to those most in need 

- The partnership with Citizens Advice started in March 2022 and advice was given to 55 clients with a potential annual gain of £105,177 if the advice offered was followed 

- As part of Trussell Trust we actively campaign for an end to Foodbanks including supporting 

   - The ‘Race Against Hunger’ in April 

   - ‘Step Up September’

- Year ended 30[th] September 2022 

- Donations were £21,184 (included £4,710 restricted funds) 

- Payments were £16,421, of which the main items were: 

   - Food £6,525 

   - Rent £3,366 

   - Equipment £1,743 

   - Repairs and maintenance £780 

   - Insurance £606 

- The difference between donations and payments is £4,763 

- This means that with the sum already carried forward, we have total cash funds of £33,443 (including £4,710 restricted funds)
