Trustees Annual Report 2021/2022
What is the Charity trying to Achieve?
The Charity is running the Leisure Centre to give children and adults in Coppull and
the surrounding areas the chance to try new sports and become physically more
active. They offer a variety of different sporting activities that can be attended on
a 7 days per week basis. There is also the option of being part of a competitive
trampoline academy that takes part in British Gymnastics Competitions throughout
the country.
The use of the meeting room has increased and is hired out for teacher trainer
courses. The income received from this is greatly appreciated and put back into
the Centre's accounts.
Staff members volunteered their time and effort to organise 2 fund raising parties
at both Halloween & Christmas. They were very well attended and very successful,
they include(J activities and games such as Tombola, raffles and Trampolining.
This is funded by parents/staff and the money raised is used to purchase
equipment for the Centre.
Everyone who visits the Centre is impressed by the improvements made and
customers ar.e frequently asked to let the staff know if there are any other
activities that they would like to have in the future.
How do we do that?
Ttrie Charity -frustees look after the Leisure Centre together with Management
staff, pmr)lo'/ees and volunteers. The Centre opens daily and hosts the following
claJses:

Has the Charity met its aims?
Equipment h,3s continued to be updated and maintained as necessary and also
more equipment added. The Centre continues to be maintained by the Trustees
and the Parish Council as owners of the building.
Springfield Trampoline Academy has been a success in gaining 2 members
competing at the Regional Finals in Sheffield. Guiding one gymnast into finishing in
2. Place.
How it works for the public benefit?
It continues to (Jive children and adults the chance to try new attivities and to
Keep physically active and become involved with their local community. The upstairs
area now has VLJnding machines for members to use. It was decided this would be the
most cost effect.ive option for the Charity due to the irregular class attendances since
the pandemic.
The space provides a meeting place for parents who wish to watch their children
during their activities.
More and more people spread the activities on offer by word of mouth and
The Centre and is also advertised locally.
We are now seeing more and more people return to the Centre and take part in extra
curricular activiLies. This has been a slow process since the previous years of
lockdowns and restrictions.
It has greatly iniproved since the relaxing of everything and members of the public
are returning bcick to normal.
