Summary ofthe main
achievemènts of the charlty
during the year
Our weekly and monthly meets'ngs all took place as planned during the
course of 2023. This includes meets'ng weekly for Sunday worship and
miolyeek prayer. and monthly for a church lunch for membefs, Visitors,
local friends and neighbours. We were encouraged to see our average
weekly attendance on Sunday$ InC￿45e by approximately 8% in 2023.
Our regular'Food & Chat. sessions, providing a hot meal and a time for
buikling relationships. specifically for those resident at the Alabare hostel
across the road Irom the church building, have also taken place and were
well received, with sometimes dose to 20 guests attending. We also
continue to care for those in our church community by providing
hospitality. transport to hospital appointrnents and care during "shut-ins..
Our Tots and Toys. group continues to meet weekly in most holidays and
is well recerved in the communty. This runs in the holiday breaks bringing
in mothers, fathers, thildminders and grandparents from the Salisbury
area for a fun moming for their children, foll¢)wed by refreshments. We
rrent have approximately half a dozen families who attend regularly.
The invotvement of one of our church members in the 'Street Pastorf
ministry in Salisbury and the sumunding areas. is also ongoing. This
work helps to combat problems associated with alcohol, sexual assault
and drugs.
IA￿ also hope to resume our community discussion series entttled
'Conversations About Life.. which launched at the start of 2020, in the
new year. These events, which are open to all. regardless of belief, are
ones in which we invite expert guest speakers to address topics such as
science, health, archeology and other disciplines. Our hope is that this
will foster good discussions in Salisbury about important issues which
affect us all.
ChTiSt Church Salisbury is blessed with having a committed membership
of dedicated and faithful Christians, all seeknng to love both G¢)d and
neighbour.
