The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to.. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act.. to follow the PrOdUreS laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5}{bl of the 2011 Act., and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. An examination includes a review of the a¢xounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a'true and fair view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Structure, governance and management The Trust is administered by eighl trustees with usually four ordlnary meelSngs in each year. Al such meetlngs the Iruslees review and plan the amount of grants available lo be made for small educalion81 projects {typically under £30,000) in Uganda. The source of potential proiects Ss through trusted ntactS. our two educational ambassadors based in Gulu and Kumi, who produce busin8s8 plans for each school we support. These business plans show ful c0518d project priorities and are reviewed by the Trust in the UK and through regular vis115 by the trustees to Uganda. Charitable objects The object of the Trust is the promotion of education and training of young persons up to the age of 30 from developing countries, and in particlslar Uganda, In order to 8nabl8 Ih6m to acqulre those practiC81. business and academic skills, which may assist them to improve their conditions of life and well-being 8nd those of their compatriots and olhers. Achlevements and perfonT•ance In 2025 We continued the building programrne at Mama Elisabeth's new site with Ihe construction of a girls, domiilory which includes solar power and balleries. This 8nables older pupils to stay al the school ovèmighl lo avoid walking considerable distances and to be able lo study in the evenings taking advantage of the solar power generated. Additionally , we new installed new toilels for the girts; we are again very grateful to the Wilmslow Wells chanty f funding this project. In Kumi we provided Ihe money for scholastic mat8rials such as chalks, p8ns and paper. Future plannlng for 2026 The next phase of the ccrf)slruction programme at Mama Elisabeth will be to build a bols dormitory which we plan to complete in 2026. We also intend to re-apprai$e our prforlties lor the Kumi schools making use of their businegs plans and the last trustees, visit.
