Trustee Annual Report for the year 12[th] February 2021 to 30[th] January 2022

During the year 2021 to 2022 there were no new activities involving the Central Park C.I.O. This was due to the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. Our Café, Central Park Café reopened to the public on 19[th] July 2021 as restrictions put in place by Wirral Council prevented volunteers from working in the park and its buildings.

A name change of the charity was applied for during 2020 and was successful. Our work with Wirral Council has evolved and we now have a memorandum of understanding with Wirral Council’s Parks, Coast & Countryside department. The Friends have attended two meetings with Wirral Council and have played an active role in shaping the plans for the future of Central Park. Central Park C.I.O. will continue to be the flagship group in Wirral with agreements with Wirral Council to operate that all other friends groups in Wirral Council’s parks will be modeled on.
