Objectives and activities
Living hope is a registered charity established by Rev Imran Malik to fund and support the education of underprivileged children in the area of Baddomalhi, Pakistan.
The Registered objectives of the charity are:
2
-
(1) To advance the education of children and young people, mostly but not exclusively of the Christian faith, through the provision and maintenance of a school in Baddomalhi, Pakistan.
-
(2) To advance the education of adults through the provision of a community and technology centre for adult learning, training and improvement of skills and capabilities.
New trustees are appointed by the existing trustees and serve for as long as they are willing. The induction of new trustees is undertaken by Rev Imran Malik. All trustees gave their time freely, and no trustee remuneration was paid during the year.
The Year Ended Trustees’ Report 31 March 2024
In planning our activities our trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit with reference to the education of children and adults.
We are an equal opportunity organisation and are committed to a working environment that is free from any form of discrimination on the grounds of religion, sex or disability. We do, however, prioritise the education of those living in significant poverty.
Our admission policy is to prioritize students who are unable to afford fees for other schools, resulting in all students receiving free education .
We have 5 female teachers, an administrator and a caretaker from local and surrounding villages offering them jobs, opportunity to develop skills and to help their local community.
We also are providing minimal cost computer sessions after school time and during holidays to young boys and girls who never had access to computers. These facilities have allowed them to have access to the internet and equip them with modern necessary computing skills.
