Trustees Annual Report 2025
Helping children bounce away from a dark past, into a bright and sunny future
Based in Surrey and focusing on Surrey projects, the charity avidly campaigns to prevent the neglect and abuse of children; The Kezi Silverstone Trust also helps children fight through adversity, giving them the tools to thrive in adulthood. Our mission is to turn victims into survivors.
The charity helps protect and rehabilitate children who are victims/survivors of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, physical abuse, neglect, domestic violence and mental cruelty. Provide support for children who are victims of poverty. Protect and lend support to children who live with parents who have alcohol / drug addictions or mental health issues. Provide support for child carers (children who take care of parents or siblings who have illnesses, disabilities or mental health issues). Lend support to children who are victims of bullying/cyber bullying.
The Kezi Silverstone Trust policy is direct funding. Every penny spent is justified and goes directly to the core. We are also mindful of sustainability and as such, we do not start a project that we cannot sustain.
In 2017 The Kezi Silverstone Trust launched its performing arts school, providing scholarships for extremely vulnerable children to attend theatrical workshops. The workshops provide music, dance, comedy and theatre and each year the children stage a production, which also lends the charity the opportunity to fundraise. Due to the downturn in funds and donations, these are only carried out on rare occasions now.
The Kezi Silverstone Trust also had its annual Christmas Wish Project in December 2025, which provides Christmas gifts for extremely vulnerable children at a domestic violence refuge. These children are wrenched from their homes, often in the middle of the night and taken to the safety of these refuges. The children arrive with very little other than the clothes on their backs.
Fundraising is achieved via supporters who raise money by hosting events on our behalf, taking on sporting challenges and requesting donations in lieu of gifts at personal celebrations. The charity has also been invited to apply for a further grant from St James’s Place Foundation again. The Kezi Silverstone Trust also receives regular monthly donations from supporters..
