unaudited financial statements ofthe charity for the period to 31st January 2024.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCEAND MANAGEMENT
Forever Stars is a charity constituted by the Memorandum and Articles of Association. The charity's
registered number is 1156990 and the company number 08869249.
The trustees are appointed in line with the Memorandum and Articles of Association. On appointment
all trustees were issued with full detsils and procedures associated with Forever Stars as well as an
overview of the charitable purpose of Forever Stars.
CHARITABLE OBJECTIVE
To promote and protect the health of parents affected by the stillbirth or other perinatal or neonatsl
death of their child or children and to relieve suffering and emotional distress amongst such parents in
particular, but not exclusively, by (li) providing or assisting in the provision of facilities and services
designed to meet their needs at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham not otherwse made available
by the National Health Service., and (i) supporting nevAy bereaved parents by providing emotional
support, practical advice and infomiation. When planning our activities for the year ahead we carefully
consider the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
In the trustee's opinion, the charity though unrestricted donations and fundraising events has made
significant progress in raising the fvnds to achieve meeting its objectives throughout the period.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charity's main source ofincome is generated through fundraising events held throughout the period.
The trustees extend their thanks to all those who have contributed to these fvndraising events and
made donations.
The charity committed the sum of £85,273 to the development of a baby loss remembrance garden in
Nottingham, the 'Serenity Garden, is located in the Highfields Park in Nottingham with the support of
the Nottingham Crty Council. The committed funds will also support the charities work with supporting
families that use the Serenity Suites at Nottingham Universities Hospital Trust (Queens Medical Centre)
and to help raise awareness and support for these baby loss families.

PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
The charity will strive to continue to achieve its objectives in the future. raising funds through donations,
corporate support and fundraising events to ensure the charity's objectives are met.

Vvhinfrey Briggs Limited, Chartered Certtfied Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers have been
appointed as independent examiner for the ensuing year.

I report on the accounts of the charty for Ihe year ended 31st January 2024, which are set out on pages 5 to 8.
Respective responsibilities of the Trustees and Examiner
The Charitls Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charitys Iruslees consider that an audit
is not required for this year (under Section 14412) of the Charities Acl 2011 Ilhe Act} and that an Independent
Examination is needed.

> lo follow the procedures laid down in the General Direclions given by the Charty Commissioners under

Basis of Independent Examinetrs Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charty Commission. An
Examination indudes a review of the accounting ￿COrdS kept by the Charity and a comparison of the a¢¢ounls
presented with those records. It also Includes consideration of any unusual rtems OT disdoSUTes in the accounts, and
seeking explanation from you as Trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all
the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequendy no opinion is given as to whether the accounts
present a Irue and fair view and the report is limited to those matters sel out in the statement below.

Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. They have been prepared in
accordan￿ wth Accounting and ReportirrfJ by Charities.. Statem)enl of Recommended Practice applicale to
charities preparing their accounts in accordance wrth FRS 102 (Charilies SORP IFRS1021) and the Companies
Act 2006.
Income
All income is treated as unrestricied income, unless the donor has rAaced restrictions on the manner in whid)
