Section B Structure, governance and management
Description of the charity’s trusts
Constitution Type of governing document Charitable Incorporated Organisation How the charity is constituted Trustee selection methods[Appointed by resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the ] charity trustees
Additional governance issues
Our constitution allows only persons who subscribe and adhere to in belief and lifestyle our Statement of Christian beliefs.
Our charity was set up to enable us to support missionaries and under-privileged and needy people; especially children, youth and young adults. In the first instance its major function was to be a means to enable UK tax payers to financially support Living Waters Village, Borneo (www.livingwatersvillage.com).
Luc De Coster and Bernard Elkin have both visited Living Waters Village. Fokko Christiaan Runhaar has served as a missionary at Living Waters Village for 8 years.
We receive our gift aided funds via Stewardship and directly to Kingdom Supplies.
We are in regular contact with the people who lead the project at Living Waters Village and with people who have visited and so are able to ensure that these funds are appropriately used. During his time at Living Waters Village Fokko Christiaan Runhaar was treasurer there. Attached is a report from Harry Boston, originally from the UK, who has been serving as a missionary at Living Waters Village for more than five years.
Section C Objectives and activities
The objectives of the charity are for the public benefit. In particular the charity will support:
-
a) the advancement of the Christian faith in such parts of the UK and the world as the charity trustees decide
-
b) the relief and/or prevention of poverty in such parts of the UK and world as the trustees decide. In practice this is likely to centre around personal contacts that the trustees make with people or people groups around the work. Currently it focuses on the needs of the Dayak tribes in Kalimantan, Borneo.
The trustees are aware of the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and have taken the commission’s public benefit guidance into account when making any decision to which it is relevant.
During 2023 the charity has effectively continued to act in a grant making capacity by passing on donations from supporters to Living Waters Village, Borneo. This has benefited children, youth and young adults from impoverished Dayak villages, by providing:
-
a) Accommodation at Living Waters Village, which is in an ongoing process of construction, and currently has more than 800 people living there.
-
b) Education in the SD (primary), SMP (Lower secondary) and SMA (Upper secondary / 6[th] form) schools that have been built on the site. The teachers in these schools have themselves all come from impoverished villages and have lived at Living Waters Village for a number of years, and completed secondary education, and in many cases university level teacher training. The schools have been taking in children from outside of Living Waters Village as well.
-
c) Further education at different universities.
-
d) Clothing and food.
-
e) Health care.
-
f) A safe and loving environment where the principles and real life of the Christian faith are taught by example and teaching.
Additional details of objectives and activities
We make grants to people / situations where the trustees have a personal involvement and thus can oversee appropriate use of funds.
All the trustees act in an entirely voluntary capacity and in the year ended December 31[st] 2023 have not received any salary or expense payments from the charity.
The trustees would like to thank Tim Horner FCA for giving his services to complete the 2023 accounts for a reduced fee.
Section D Achievements and performance
For 2023 we have continued to pass on support from UK tax payers to Living Waters Village: £192,226 was passed on to Living Waters Village and £5,727 was passed on to Ronny Heyboer, founder of Living Waters Village and long term missionary there, for his personal support.
In 2023 Kingdom Supplies has charged £900 service charges to Living Waters Village and £45 service charges to Ronny Heyboer. Some of these have been used to fund banking costs (£474 for Living Waters Village and £45 for Ronny Heyboer), the cost for FundFiler (£85), the ICO registration (£35), the Web Hosting (£71.99) and the cost for the annual accounts (£240). The remainder is available for future expenses and possible other projects.
Section E Financial review

1. Report Faith Purkis
I was at Living Waters Village on 9 February 2023 for 11 days.
This was my second time there and I went as a general hand volunteer.
There had been quite a few changes since my first visit 5 years ago.
There were a lot more children and even more building projects going on to meet the demands of the ever growing number of children.
There also some children with disabilities such as a deaf and dumb girl and a boy , Claudias, who in spite of his limb deformities, appeared so happy and nothing would stop him from joining any sports activities.
The children appeared very well cared for, placed in a family environment and they just seems to get along well and has very good interpersonal skills that I find lacking with their peers in the West.
They appeared to know their roles/ chores that there was very little adult supervision .
I could see that the LWV is giving these children a great opportunity to fulfil their full potential though education and more importantly sharing the gospel and God’s love.
I am so encouraged to see these young teenagers confidently leading the daily morning devotion and and worship services . They are tomorrow’s church and it was very encouraging to see the church bursting through its seams on the Friday and Sunday services.
May the Lord continue to bless Pastor Ronny and this ministry.

2. Report Harry Boston – “Living Waters Village 2023: A Year of Transformation”
It's truly amazing how God has worked in the lives of the children at Living Waters Village in 2023. We've witnessed remarkable transformations, as shy, withdrawn children have blossomed into confident, joyful individuals. The phrase "turn that frown upside down" has become synonymous with the incredible progress we've seen. The children's spirits have been lifted, their hopes renewed, and their futures filled with promise as they meet with the Lord Jesus, and experience this personal relationship that is promised to each one of us.
The building projects at Living Waters Village have been a tremendous success this year. We've completed a significant number of new homes, providing comfortable and safe living spaces for our kids. The progress on other construction projects has been equally impressive, as we continue to expand and improve our facilities. These developments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the generous support we've received from sponsors, and of course, all comes down to the Goodness of God.
This year we celebrated our 20[th] anniversary of Living Waters Village. Celebrating the goodness of God, his faithfulness and love. Not because we are lovely, but because God is love. We opened the doors to everyone and anyone. Inviting all Alumni to join the festival, as well as previous missionaries and the local community. It was a 5-day event full of singing and dancing, and lifting up the Lord’s name.
As Living Waters Village and our children grow, our vision to reach the lost deepens. We are dedicated to equipping a generation of disciples to shine as beacons of hope in communities. Our goal is not merely to be a lighthouse ourselves, but to be a manufacturer of lighthouses. To nurture and empower individuals who will go out and plant their own churches, bringing the transformative message of Jesus to those who need Him.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Kingdom Supplies
I report on the accounts of the charity for the Year ended 31st December 2023, which are set out on pages 2 to 3.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act),
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act), and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act
have not been met; or
- (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
