Section B Structure, governance and management
Description of the charity’s trusts
Constitution Type of governing document Charitable Incorporated Organisation How the charity is constituted Trustee selection methods[Appointed by resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the ] charity trustees
Additional governance issues
Our constitution allows only persons who subscribe and adhere to in belief and lifestyle our Statement of Christian beliefs.
Our charity was set up to enable us to support missionaries and under-privileged and needy people; especially children, youth and young adults. In the first instance its major function was to be a means to enable UK tax payers to financially support Living Waters Village, Borneo (www.livingwatersvillage.com).
Luc De Coster and Bernard Elkin have both visited Living Waters Village. Fokko Christiaan Runhaar has served as a missionary at Living Waters Village for 8 years.
We receive our gift aided funds via Stewardship and directly to Kingdom Supplies.
We are in regular contact with the people who lead the project at Living Waters Village and with people who have visited and so are able to ensure that these funds are appropriately used. During his time at Living Waters Village Fokko Christiaan Runhaar was treasurer there. Attached is a report from Lodi Kuijvenhoven who has been serving at Living Waters Village for more than 8 years.
Section C Objectives and activities
The objectives of the charity are for the public benefit. In particular the charity will support:
a) the advancement of the Christian faith in such parts of the UK and the world as the charity trustees decide
- b) the relief and/or prevention of poverty in such parts of the UK and world as the trustees decide. In practice this is likely to centre around personal contacts that the trustees make with people or people groups around the work. Currently it focuses on the needs of the Dayak tribes in Kalimantan, Borneo.
The trustees are aware of the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and have taken the commission’s public benefit guidance into account when making any decision to which it is relevant.
During 2020 the charity has effectively continued to act in a grant making capacity by passing on donations from supporters to Living Waters Village, Borneo. This has benefited children, youth and young adults from impoverished Dayak villages, by providing:
-
a) Accommodation at Living Waters Village, which is in an ongoing process of construction, and currently has almost 700 people living there.
-
b) Education in the SD (primary), SMP (Lower secondary) and SMA (Upper secondary / 6[th] form) schools that have been built on the site. The teachers in these schools have themselves all come from impoverished villages and have lived at Living Waters Village for a number of years, and completed secondary education, and in many cases university level teacher training. The schools have been taking in children from outside of Living Waters Village as well.
-
c) Further education at different universities.
-
d) Clothing and food.
-
e) Health care.
-
f) A safe and loving environment where the principles and real life of the Christian faith are taught by example and teaching.
Additional details of objectives and activities
We make grants to people / situations where the trustees have a personal involvement and thus can oversee appropriate use of funds.
All the trustees act in an entirely voluntary capacity and in the year ended December 31[st] 2020 have not received any salary or expense payments from the charity.
The trustees would like to thank Tim Horner FCA for giving his services to complete the 2020 accounts free of charge.
Section D Achievements and performance
For 2020 we have continued to pass on support from UK tax payers to Living Waters Village. For 2020 £174,379 was passed on to Living Waters Village and £1,768 was passed on to Ronny Heyboer, founder of Living Waters Village, for his personal support.
In 2020 Kingdom Supplies has charged £600 service charges to Living Waters Village and £120 service charges to Ronny Heyboer. Some of these have been used to fund banking costs (£362.44 for Living Waters Village and £22.50 for Ronny Heyboer), the ICO registration (£35), the ECO Web Hosting (£71.99) and the website for Living Waters Village (£186.39), as well as a gift for Tim Horner FCA (£27.59). The remainder is available for future expenses and possible other projects.
Section E Financial review
Any financial reserves accumulated by the charity will be kept for use in funding future expenses and possible other projects.
We have maintained a credit bank balance since inception and have no financial or other liabilities.
Kingdom Supplies has received its income this year through voluntary donations by members of the public and churches.

Living Waters Village Borneo - 2020
I have been living here now with my family for more than 8 years and every year has been wonderful and amazing. But 2020 was of course a very special year due to the Corona pandemic we all have been facing all over the world.
Many parts of the world have been hit hard with the corona virus, but throughout 2020 no one in the village here had been affected by it, a truly amazing miracle with almost 700 people on site, for which we are grateful to the Lord.
One of the highlights of 2020 for me was the Fellowship Seminar with pastors and church leaders from different regions of Kalimantan. During three days we have fellowship with them and part of their family and it is a great time for them to get out of the interior into civilization, sharing their stories. For many of them it is a time to refresh, to be encouraged and to recharge their spiritual battery. This year we had some pastors over from New Zealand and Samoa to give them some practical tools for when they get back to their remote villages in the interior. We heard their success stories, but also the difficulties they are experiencing. We were able to help some of them by sending some of our youth who have a heart for missions and church planting to their region as well.
During the months of May till September we always have a very busy and hectic time here in the village in the middle of the jungles of Borneo. Children who have finished their primary or secondary school are going on a two-week holiday to see their family. During this same period many new children are coming into the ministry, which is always a great joy, but bring lots of challenges to all of us as well. Many of these children have experienced a lot of difficulties in their past which they bring with them to us. Some have been abused, others have been neglected by their family due to remarriage of their father or mother. Some have been involved in occultism and other creepy stuff that is still widespread and accepted in many villages. Most of these children don’t know Jesus and don’t know what real love is. Hardly anyone of them has ever received a hug in their life. It is so rewarding and amazing to see the change happening to many of these children after a few weeks and months. It is beautiful to seen some of them quickly accept Christ, lift up their hands to the Lord in worship and learn to pray and build an intimate relationship with the Lord. For others it takes more time to open their broken heart that needs healing. Altogether this is one of the amazing things: to experience lives being changed here in Living Waters Village Borneo.
As serving as a pastor here in the village, one of my personal goals is to help both the children and other leaders here to grow in their personal relationship in Christ and daily living by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Helping all of them through the preaching of the Word, challenging them personally in cell-groups and encouraging many of them in faceto-face meetings, to become like Jesus. It is always inspiring to see them grow in Christ, seeing their lives radically changed. Youth coming for advice, asking about the meaning of dreams, coming with prayer needs or wanting to know the meaning of scripture is truly wonderful. Many a times my response to them is, “What has the Lord told you”, or “What does the scripture say”, or “What is the Holy Spirit impressing on you inside your heart?” It is great to see them respond to those questions which really challenge them in their spiritual growth. My goal is that they will become dependent totally on the Lord and not dependent on a pastor or leader, but that they will always live closely to the Lord.
Because of the ongoing influx of children there is an extensive building program going on. As I personally have two left hands, I enjoy watching from a distance the ongoing work. It was great to see 2 houses to be renovated and become children’s homes where now children can live safely with new house parents. Also the secondary school (junior and senior high school) got extended with 12 new class rooms which is amazing. Many of the children going to school here are so happy they get an opportunity to go to school, learn and make something of their lives. What a difference with so many children in the Western world.
Looking back over the past 8 years and specifically focusing on 2020 the most rewarding factor is seeing that children who came in the ministry in 2013 are now being sent off to villages to become pastors and church planters, and others are becoming leaders in the Children Ministry here in the village with a true heart to help the newcomers in a way they personally can relate to.

KINGDOM SUPPLIES
Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Kingdom Supplies
I report on the accounts of the charity for the Year ended 31st December 2020, which are set out on pages 2 to 3.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act),
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act), and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act
have not been met; or
- (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
