Registered Charity Number 1156958

Trustees Annual Report 2021 to 2022

The Centre is back to full capacity this year with lettings. We continue to provide a service to the residents of crookhill & Stargate and the surrounding areas. we lost 2 groups one which was a long-standing user group the football team. This was due to the local council not maintaining the pitch.

We gained to 2 new groups a lady's choir and a children's choir these use the hall twice weekly. We have regular party bookings on weekends having the secure outdoor space and baby change and easy access toilet has made a massive difference to party bookings. The management committee and Trustees endeavor to maintain and improve the facilities at the Centre to provide a safe and secure venue for all activities.

We held a very special day for the platinum jubilee celebrations in June Afternoon tea this brought together the community young and old. We had the lady's choir sing for us and circus skills and crafts for everyone.

We were also involved in running a children's pop-up sports event with the local council and qualified coaches during the summer holidays.

We have also purchased a very vital piece of equipment this year a defibrillator this is now on the outside of the Centre so anyone who needs it can gain access.

We have events planned for the rest of the year winter fair, children's Christmas party.

The management committee have worked hard this year to build up a reserve to assist with any major repairs that might occur.

The child and vulnerable adults' policies have also been reviewed this year. We are also looking into getting DBS checks for some of the volunteers.

We have lost one of our Trustees this year, but she still wanted to stay as a volunteer at the Centre. She was replaced as a trustee by one of our Volunteers.

We will continue to support all the people who hirer the Centre and to provide activities and to listen to what the local residents want from the Centre.
