Summary of the main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
In answering this section, the trustees have had regard to the
guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
Our organisation remains committed to promoting and enabling
(through the provision of appropriate training facilities and
experienced, registered coaches) members of the public to
regularly train and participate in amateur boxing; improving both
their physical health and general well-being.
As an open membership organisation, the benefits of our
organisation are available for all who train with the club. Watford
Amateur Boxing Club is open to the public in general, with current
members between the ages of 10-70 yrs, both male and female.
Through training at the Watford Amateur Boxing Club, participants
consistently benefit from improved physical fitness and mental well-
being (including stamina, strength, suppleness, confidence etc.).
Also, with the coming together of people from all backgrounds,
sexes and ages to train together in a connected interest, our
organisation continues to aim to promote social cohesion.

Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)

Our organisation owes an enormous amount to the effort and dedication of the training and coaching staff and helpers. All these people operated in a voluntary, unpaid capacity and all are fully CRB checked.

You may choose to include further statements, where relevant, about:

All our coaches remain ABA trained and committed to following best practice in the Olympic sport of Amateur boxing and ensuring that high quality protective equipment is always used.

Additionally, the trustees continue to ensure that all the club's coaches are qualified first aiders and have attended Child Protection Courses; and that appropriate levels of public liability insurance is always maintained.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

In the year of 2025, we have continued to develop our club with the help of our coaches and helpers and the continued support of Watford borough council

Our membership for the year has stayed the same to make it accessible to all.

We welcomed new coaches into our club who have been trained and put through Level one and level two ABA training

Two programs are continued at the club; the class for people with Parkinson disease and the class for people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction

We have been competing in more boxing competitions this year and been traveling to other local clubs for sparring in preparation for these competitions

This year we have also bought a new kit for all coaches and boxers
