Our organisation remains committed to promoting and enabling (through the provision of appropriate training facilities and experienced, registered coaches) members of the public to regularly train and participate in amateur boxing; improving both their physical health and general well-being. As an open membership organisation, the benefits of our organisation **Summary of the main activities** are available for all who train with the club. Watford Amateur Boxing **undertaken for the public benefit** Club is open to the public in general, with current members between the **in relation to these objects** ages of 10-45 yrs, both male and female. **(include within this section the statutory declaration that** Through training at the Watford Amateur Boxing Club, participants **trustees have had regard to the** consistently benefit from improved physical fitness and mental well- **guidance issued by the Charity** being (including stamina, strength, suppleness, confidence etc.). Also, **Commission on public benefit)** with the coming together of people from all backgrounds, sexes and ages to train together in a connected interest, our organisation continues to aim to promote social cohesion. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** Our organisation owes an enormous amount to the effort and dedication of the training and coaching staff and helpers. All of these people operated in a voluntary, unpaid capacity and all are fully CRB checked. All of our coaches remain ABA trained and committed to following best practice in the Olympic sport of Amateur boxing and ensuring that high quality protective equipment is used at all times. You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grant-making; - policy programme related investment; Additionally, the trustees continue to ensure that all of the club's coaches are qualified first aiders and have attended Child Protection Courses; and that appropriate levels of public liability insurance is maintained at all times. - contribution made by volunteers. 4 March **2012** **TAR** Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main** In the year of 2020 we have continue to develop our club with the help **achievements of the charity** of our coaches and helpers and the continued support of Watford **during the year** borough council Our membership for the year has stayed the same to make it accessible to all. Our club has currently has a waiting list of approximately 60 people. We continued our joint work with Box Cleva, a charity who operate sporting and educational youth initiatives, centred on the sport of amateur boxing, this is an absolutely no contact initiative. The sessions are operated weekly over 40 (term time) weeks for children aged 7 - 15 years of age. Each session last approximately 1.5 hours and instils discipline, respect, perseverance, fair-play and fitness, within a safe and controlled environment. Healthy Eating sessions and Drugs Awareness sessions are carried out in every programme. Many of the children come to us by referral from their schools and other agencies.
