Ghyllside School.
Ghylbtde Ilrt of Sthool Club is bèn&tsl as it advsnces the education of
children arrtt young p8cFle, by provKthng the necessary facilities for th8
daly care. recreation educaion of children during out of school hours
and s&KW)I holiday8. This provides added benefrts to chiklren through
play opportunities, the development of s0(ial skills and sew-conf￿enC9.
Evidence of the value and benefit of th8 club is displayed through Ihe
number of familEs that use it and the huh demand for places. Parents
and carers tenefft aThJ rety on a Safe, ded￿ted, ThEII equipped
envirorffient for their children. The 5eryice gives parents and c8rers a
greater ￿8¢e of mind during the VKJrkiro day vthich helps tkthi to
concentr8te at workjcollege. The can offer pr%tical support to
parents fly example provId￿g regular respite care or lime out for families
and their ¢hildren. Th8 club akn rAowde a short temi solution in
times of crisis. Ghyllside Out of School Cl[￿ is located within Ghy115ide
School pr8mises and has a positr￿ collaborative wotking relalionship
with Ghyllside School. The staff overlap betsveen the school and the dub
enhancirvJ already eststlished Str￿￿j and seGure relattonships with the
parents children. Children attend for a ¥ariety of sessions. There are
currently 145 children atterKlin9. It suppxirts children with sped81
edLutional needs andlor disabiltties. The Club facllitales $¢hool
atteThyan￿ for those children v*ho attend the dub for breakfast andlor
after-srtK￿ pr￿1￿ and a180 Ghwside S¢hool.
