The directors, who are also the trustees, submit their report and financial statements for the
year ending March 31", 2025.
Statement of directorltrustee responsibilities
Company law requires directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year
which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss
of the company for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the directors are
required to:
a) Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.
b) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
cl Prepare financial statements on the going concerns basis unless it is inappropriate to
assume the company will continue to trade.
The directors are responsible for keeping proper accounting record5 which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and to enable them
to ensure that the financial statements comply with Companies Act 2006. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable
Steps for the prevention and detertion of fraud and other irregularities.
Prlnclpal activities
The company is registered with the Charity Commissioners and aim5 to give practical help to
families under stress and to give children the best possible start in life.
The Charity is fortunate to have secured a three-year funding grant from the National
Lottery, together with grants from the organisations listed on note 5 to the financial
statements which will provide the Charity with some short-term stability.

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions
relating to companies subject to the Small Companies Regime within Part 15 of the
Companies Act 2006. The directors have adopted the provisions of Accounting and
Reporting by Charities Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in
the UK and Ireland (FRS 102), effertive January 1st 2015.

I have examined the attached financial statements which have been prepared in accordance with the
accounting policies set out in note l.
Respectlve responsibllltles of trustees and examlner
As trustees of the charity you are responsible for the Preparation of the financlal statements and you consider
that the audit requirements of sertion 14412} of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) do not apply and that an
independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions 8iven by the Charity Commission under
sectlon 145(51{bl of the 2011 Act- and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordance wlth the general Directions given by the Charity Commlssion.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the ¢harlty and a comparison ofthe
financial statements with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in
the financial statements and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently
no opinlon is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view, and the report is limited to those
matters set out in the statement below.
No matter has come to my attention:
(11 Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and
to prepare financial statements which accord with the accounting records and comply with the
accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not been met; or

financial statements to be reached.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, the company was entitled to exemption from audit
under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 and no notice has been deposited under Section 476
requesting an audit. The directors and trustees acknowledge their responsibility for ensuring that
the company maintains accounting records which cornply with Section 386 and preparing financial
statements which give a true and fairview of the State of affairs of the company as at the end of the
financial year and of its profit or loss for the ftnancial year in accordance with the requirements of
Section 396 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2CKJ6, so far as
applicable to the company.
The financial statements, which have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions
relating to small companies subject to the Small Companies Regime within part 15 of the Companies
Act 2006 and with the Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities {effective April 20151, were approved

l. Accounting policies
Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Companies Act
2006, the Statement of Recommended Practice- Accounting and Reporting by
Charities (SORP) 2(J15, the Charities Act 2011 and the Financial Reporting Standard
for Smaller Entities (effective April 2015).
Fixed assets and depreciation:
Initial furniture and equipment were donated when the previous
organisation was set up. Additions are expensed on acquisition
Restrfcted fvnds arise from grants or donations where the donor specifies the
use for which the funds may be applied. We are required by law to comply
with the donor's wishes.
2. Reserves policy
It is the policy of the trustees to maintain reserves at the equivalent of
approximately six months expenditure on an historic basis. The objective
being to enable an orderly rundown in the event of a significant cut in
funding. On March 31, 2025 the reserves amounted to approximately 59%
{2024: 62%) of such expenditure. The trustees have made a forecast of
confirmed income and expenditure for the year ending March 31, 2025 and
remain of the opinion that they could ensure an orderly rundown in the event
of a significant cut in funding.

Company status and trustees
The charity is a company limited by guarantee. The mernbers of the company are the
trustees, also directors, named in the Directors Report. In the event of the charity being
wound up, the liability of the guarantee is limited to £1 per member.
The trustees receive no remuneration.
Expenditure
All expenditure relates to the provision and support of charitable activities.
