FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023
Headway Oxlordshirg IHWOI 1￿Mpleted ils transfer to an entirely non slalutory fundgd organisallon in 2016 and

mel ils fundraising and budgetary objectives by adapting its offerings, increased fvndraising and collaboration with
provlders of legal servlees lo dellver rehabilÉlalion sfjrvices under the Oxford5hire ABI Support Service IOASSI

year solely on a combln311on of fundraising and'paid for service" income.
As prevlously staled in annual reports the providlng ol apparent choice for fund holding clientslpatsents Idue lo

This is due lo th8 additlonal ov8rh6ad8 associat8d with th8 cli8nVprovid8r relalionshlp, su¢h 8$ attracting and billing
18nts, chasing debtors, logalhor wllh the upfront payment of our costs and Ihg subsequent impact on our cash
flow. Also, there has been a need to develop partnw relationshlps such as OASS lo help signpost our services to
potentlal users.
Wo conlinus lo operate strict budgeting and financial controls, and we have been able lo achieve our objective5
whilst incT¢asing our r¢sorvos. Thcso rosorv88 will allow us lo in¢roaso our long-lorm strategic investments. To
date this has meant a significant upgrade lo our main Centre wth the wovision of a Physioth8T8Py Gym.
The Aetivity Énd Rehabilltation Centre {ARCI recently underwent slgnifieant rèfurbishment with improved insvlalion,
acc8ss, and transformation of thB 8Xt8rn818ppe8ranc8. This provides our current clients with an ex￿lIent space to
uNlergo Ihglr r8h8blllt8llon and on-golng sociallsalion.
Cxjr new resources lor physical rehabilitation continue to operate successfully and have prowded a suc¢8ssful and
stlmulaling faclkty that Is extremely popular wlth our cllents.
Having su￿08S￿lIY fundraised for the spociali81 Iherapy ar)d gym equipment we are oonsidering the best options to
open this resource lo those affoctod by neurological or other health conditions within the rommunity who do not
norTrtally access our services on the paid model.
A8ld8 from th6 ARC, w6 contlnue lo ralse 8wa18nÈss of br81n Injury wlthln the communlty. and this has seen us
making a gr8at* Impacl through our growlng 8vents cslendar and varfed media coverage.
Finanelal Report
Strict managemonl of costs and a focus on atlracting clients has ensured that our ¢ash reserves have been
enhdnced and Lhis year's surplus has been directed to our new long-lerm investment plan aimed at g8herating
eapltal rather than income.
In accordance with our R8serv8s Policy and ongoing Business D8V81opm8nt Plannlng, the Trustaes and
management team have identified a need for reserves at between 3-5 monlhs rtjnning ¢osls.
