Thank you to everyone for attending tonight and showing your support for Little Frogs. It has been a busy year for staff here with lots of changes and challenges that we’ve had to face.
Last November Abbi joined us after Charlene left for a new career at GTS. Abbi has settled well and I think, enjoying being part of Little Frogs team. Dan took over Charlene’s role as Designated Safe Guarding Lead and is doing a good job.Elaine Moast left us in December being replaced by Fran Beedie. Fran has settled well being lots of new ideas and enthusiasm to the setting.
We took our school starters to Rosemoor in July a day enjoyed by everyone ,although very hot. At the end of the morning we all had a sweet pea plant to take home and lots of good memories.
Luci our Senco handed in her resignation during the last week of term in July. While we are looking for a replacement Dan has taken on to cover this role. Thank you Dan for all your hard work in these two challenging roles. Hollie returned in June to help out with cover for staff illness and holidays and we are all pleased that she returned as a permanent staff member in September,welcome back Hollie.
A year after the new curriculum was introduced we are still working towards getting things right and trying new planning ideas. Observations and paperwork for all staff take a lot of time, and although paid this is done at home.
We are still seeing the effects of covid Speech and language problems children lacking social skills all due to being unable to attend groups during the pandemic. A lot of very young children joined us in September and mostly all settle well. Sarah leaves us at the beginning of December to go on maternity leave. Her role of Play Leader will be covered by Fran Beedie. Good luck Sarah for the new arrival at the end of December.
Thank you Dan and Fran Plows for your hard work with our children that need extra help. Also thank you to all the staff I know daily its stressful and challenging,as well as very rewarding.
The biggest thank you goes to Tracey without her Little Frogs wouldn’t run smoothly as it does. Not only doing her admin work but everything connected with the building maintenance and lots more. Tracey you are the rock on which Little Frogs stand . Thank you
