Annual report 2022-2023
Whitley bay theatre company moved to a new venue – The exchange in North shields. This was done due to the increased hire costs at our previous venue. Being our first production back since covid, we opted to head back to our most popular genres – Sitcoms.
We transcribed a series of episodes, in agreement with the original writer – Roy Clarke and produced a 2 act show of the popular sitcom – Open all hours. This ran at the exchange for 5 performances and was enjoyed by nearly 500 audience members over the 5 performances. WE were also lucky enough to receive 2 donations totalling £2400 which will be used to enable us to continue producing local amateur theatre.
