## **Chairman’s Report 2025/26** 

HIWCBA has continued to offer some F2F weekend events. 

The Yuletide, Bloxsom and Philip Graham seem to be established events. 

And this year, the Candover Pairs and Jack-High (simultaneous) pairs have been well supported. We have continued to run on-line events, in particular collaborative Blue Point events with Berks & Bucks, Dorset and Essex. 

The annual Hampshire Congress GP congress, now held in June, was reasonably well attended with 11 tables on both days. 

The County Leagues have been well supported, 21 teams over three leagues. Next year we expect to incorporate a number of Dorset teams, expanding the league to four divisions. The Cahalan Cup was reasonably well supported, as was the HICKO. 

Our two charity simultaneous events raised a total over £1000 for the Hampshire & IoW Air Ambulance. 

County representative teams have done well. 

In 2025 we won the Presidents Cup, and the ‘C’ Division of the Metropolitan Cup. We narrowly missed out on a place in the Tollemache Final.
