In July 2025, the Govemmenl ann?unced that both Heallhwalch England and local Heallhwalch WOU￿ bg abolishgd as part
ol a wider reorganisalion ol the NHS, and that responsitxlity lor pats'enl voice would be shared amongst the Department of
Health Bnd Social Care. Ihe Integrated Care Boards, and local authorities.
The Governtnent will need lo change the law to begin lo deliver suci changes. and it could take two years to begin to
implement. Our Board has decided that wh81 we do matters to the residents of Calderdale and Kirklees $0 we are going to
carry on as bolorè.
