The Fish 4 Life Angling Academy Registered Charity 1156301

Chairman’s Report Summary of the Year 2021/2022

The trustees who served in the accounting period were: Martin Roessler Peter Isitt Keith Miller Trevor Savory Graham Walker

The year has been uncertain due to the hang over of the pandemic still disrupting the activities, the charity did however manage to provided limited coaching which was very well received for another charity . The Saturday club continued to be suspended as it was not practical to proceed with it this year.

On a positive note it has been good to see that people we have introduced to angling have taken up the sport and they have been seen on the bankside throughout the year.

We have been approached by several organisations with regards to providing on-going coaching when practical. The cabin has been utilized for training and a disable angling club for meetings which is seen as an ongoing relationship.

We have been approached by a few other coaches showing interest in support the ongoing activities of the Academy allowing us to continue delivering high levels of coaching to all participants whether they are on the bank or in the classroom.

There will be change in a trustee next year however they will continue to support the charity, the position has been has been

discussed with an experience person who has worked in a charitable environment and they have confirmed they wish to become a trustee.

Funding remains the biggest challenge for the Academy with funds still generally being generated by the sale of tackle donated to

the charity. The longer-term goal remains to establish a relationship with a funder to allow a longer-term programme to be formulated, however this .is still an ongoing challenge
