**The Fish 4 Life Angling Academy Registered Charity 1156301** ## **Chairman’s Report Summary of the Year 2019/2020** The trustees who served in the accounting period were: Martin Roessler Peter Isitt Keith Miller Trevor Savory Graham Walker The Fish 4 Life Angling Academy education and coaching centre at Puddledock Farm Fishery in Upminster, Essex Is now fully completed. This year has been a difficult year with the pandemic disrupting the activities of the charity, we did however manage to provide a corporate day which was very well received and looks to become an annual event. The Saturday club was suspended as it was not practical to proceed with it this year. On a positive note it has been good to see that some people we have introduced to angling have taken up the sport and they have been seen on the bankside throughout the year. Next year is likely to follow a similar pattern to this and it hoped that we will be able to provide some limited coaching sessions in line with the guidelines. We have been approached by a few other coaches showing interest in support the ongoing activities of the Academy allowing us to continue delivering high levels of coaching to all participants whether they are on the bank or in the classroom. Funding still continues to be the main challenge for the Academy with funds being generated by the sale of tackle donated to the charity and again this year a small amount of funds were generated by coaching sessions undertaken for the commercial sector.
