In 2024, we sald we would: l Finalise deslgn and install Doggerland, Trading Routes and Iron Age Tribes wall displays and finalise the indoor operations space for the Prehistory Centre. Three wall dlsploys have been printed and instolled in the Prehlstory Centre .' Doggerland, Troding Route5 and Iron Age Tribes 0] Britoin. The steelfrome structure wos completed to occommodote an open office ond stoff room oreo. 2. Dellver engaging Prehlstory Day Trips to over 13,000 school children plus their adult helpers and over 16 quality residential trips. Deliver family days out in April / October welcoming on average 80 family members per day and develop Family Saturdays with average 10 famllies taking part In conservatlon activities. We delivered Prehistory trips to 15,534 school children and adult helpers on doy and resldentiGI trips In 2024. We delivered the Easter ond October Days Out to on overage of 123family members per doy over nlne doys and delivered ten Family Soturdaysfrom Februory to November overaging 5families per Soturday- 100% offomilies said they enjoyed their experience, 88% tried something new,. lOO% spent quality time together, 97% learnt more about Celtic culture. 3. Review organisational structure and strate8Y to ensiire funding and Income generation streams for siistainable operatlons. Deliver the Lavlna's Legacy volunteer programme recruiting 6 education trainees, run 4 Woodland Workshop courses in partnership with Groundwork East, grow the conservation volunteers and develop further volunteering opportunities. Lavina'5 Legocy volunteering progromme delivered six educotion troineeships 31 ottendees on 4 month long Woodland Workshops in colloborotion with Groundwork Et75t, eight new conservation volunteers ond developed o new events volunteer role ond Outdoor Instructor ApprentIShIp as port of the project. Volunteers contributed over three thousond hours in 2024. 5. Measure the impact of the school, family and volunteer programme and complle data by December 2024 forthe University of Hertfordshire to analyse and publish the impact measurement report by Spring 2025.
The University of Hertfordshire hos received the data to complete an impact reportfor 2024 Lovino's Legacy volunteering ond the education & visitor programme and is donoting twentyfive hours of project manoger time worth £1,252.50 to the impact measurement report. In 2025 we will aim to l. Complete the Stone to Iron Age exhibition in the Prehistory Centre, creating new labels to showcase finds in a D08gerland cabinet and a Bronze Age cabinet. work in collaboration with museums to introduce new artefacts to reflect the culture of ancient Britain. 2. Ensure the Stone to Iron Age exhibition remains open for free at weekends, supported by a fundraising campaign for two larger cabinets to house spotlight loans and handling artefacts, aloii8side an eveiits prograiiime. 3. To fui)draise for 3,000 Free Scliool Meal pupil bursaries for Preliistory trip experiences, ii)creasliig well beiiig through Increased enjoyment, independence, topic engagement and social interactioii. 4. Continue to develop Lavina's Legacy volunteer programme developing opportunities from work experience to internships and growing the conservation team to ensure site malntenance for visitor access and woodland management. 5.
