The financial statements have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis.
Objectives and Activities
The Jayne Sargent Foundation is a charity based in Telford, Shropshire offering a cancer support group and wellbeing therapist service at Hazeldine House, Central Square, Telford, TF3 4JL.
The object of the charity is to apply the capital and income to promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of all kinds of cancer, through the provision of financial support, education and practical advice, either by direct assistance to individuals or by the making of grants to other charities who provide similar support, such as assistance in either case to be exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales.
Achievements and Performance
The charity has provided a small amount of fundraising for the cancer support group, which has allowed them to meet regularly and provide various wellbeing services throughout the year, available to anyone dealing with cancer in the Telford area.
The Trustees have had due regard to the guidance published by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
Financial Review
The charity’s income for the year amounted to £938 (2023: £4,433). The bank and cash accounts holds fund at the year-end of £3,611 (2023: £12,756).
The trustees are committed to only spending the excess funds over and above their working capital requirements.

Structure, Governance and Management
The Jayne Sargent Foundation was registered on 12 March 2014 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and was formally registered with the Charity Commission. It is governed by its constitution and a board of members also known as trustees. The assets of the charity are vested in the CIO itself as a corporate body, not in trustees personally.
In selecting the individuals for appointment, trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.
There are a number of trustees that have been in place for more than 9 years.
