When the lighthouse was dlsmantled durin8 the summer of 2020 the lantern room and other
key artefarts in the lighthouse were saved. They now belong to the trustees and they are being
kept safe at the site of Cobra Mist limited on Orfordness.
The trustees hope that it will be possible to Incorporate the lantern room In a building on a site
on Orfordness which would be a memorial to the Ilghthouse houslng the artefa¢ts whlch have
been saved. The building would be used for publlc benefft.
The plans for the development and funding of this new structure have not yet progressed.

Trustees. policies-
Rlsk management - the trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity

trustees are satisfied that the level of cover is sufficient. As soon as the structure of the
lighthouse became unsound, the visits to it ceased.
Re5erves- the trustees do not consider that there Is a need for a reseries policy. The funds of
the charity are being used towards achievin8 the objectives of preserving the lighthouse for as
long as possible and allowing as many people as possible to visit it.
