changes In 2022. and has a ngwly appointod
team of 11 trusteeg. all bringing frgsh idga$
and enthuslasm for the future of tho villagg
and communlty. Dueto the changes much
of the year has been about taklng Stock and
rebulldlng¥ therefore new projects have
been on hold In some areas but the
mffllttee Is plannlng for 2023 wtth vlgour.
The Charlty has contlnuod to provlde core
activities anql events. Tho Youth Centre
provldes children and young poople of the
vlllage and surroundlng vIllag￿ tho
opportunlty to make friends and InteThxt
wlth others In a safé anvironment, whlch Is
holplng to tackle rural anti soclal behavlour.
Soclal gvonts are helplng Social interactions
with a wlde range of local resldents with

Quarrington Hill Community Association has undargono many changes due to tho
previous Treasurer and Socretary reslgning with Immediate effect In July 2022, wlthoul
any official handoverl Leavlng only 2 trustees with no Idea on how thlngs were supposed
lo run, howevor the local villagers rallièd around those 2 girls and more trustees wer•
added. Although il has takèn some time, we are finally starting to gèt on top of tho
mountain of paperwork and policles that all needed updating. Wo arranged for an
external auditor, who wlll be going forward audlt the accounts annually, we havo also had
input and asslstance from tho Clerk at Coxhoe Parish Council, ropresentstlves from
Durham County Council and our Local Independent Councillors, so we arè now running
the Association with 11 trustees whlch going forward we hopè to further incroase.

## OVERVIEW 

- 1.1. Quarrington Hill Community Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered 11[th] March 2014 and is  governed through the Charities Act. 

- 1.2. The charity trustees manage the affairs of the CIO and on a day to day basis. 

- 1.3. The charity trustees must comply with the requirements of the Charities Act with regard to keeping of accounting records etc. 

- 1.4. The aims and objectives of the Centre is to provide activities to benefit the residents of Quarrington Hill and the surrounding area. 

- 1.5. During the year the Centre received income of £6.689 mainly from support grants, room  hires and activities. 

Expenditure for the year was £16,384  with the majority of payments  for events and the running of the Centre such as  utilities, building works and maintenance. 

There was a deficit  for the year of £9,515 

- 1.6 The Fund Balance of £36,184 reconciled to the Bank Statements and the cash held as at 31[st] October 2022 



## Independent Examiners Report 

- 2.1.    I (Gordon Fletcher, C.M.I.I.A.) have reported on the accounts of Quarrington Hill Community Centre for the year ending 31[st] October 2022. 

- 2.2. This report is in respect of an examination carried out in accordance with the Charities Act. 

- 2.3. The examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the trustees, including a review of the accounts and making such enquiries as are necessary for the purpose of this report. 

- 2.4. Based on my examination, systems and procedures are sound,  however minor  amendments are necessary to provide full assurance to the Governance arrangements in place and recommendations are shown in an attached internal audit report.   No other matters has come to my attention which  the trustees are not aware of, and the accounts presented do accord with the accounting requirements of the Charities act.
