**Objects:** THE CHARITABLE PUPOSES OF THE U3A ARE:1) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE NOT IN FULL TIME GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT WHO ARE IN THEIR THIRD AGE (BEING THE PERIOD OF TIME AFTER THE FIRST AGE OF CHILDHOOD DEPENDENCE AND THE SECOND AGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT AND/OR PARENTAL RESPONSIBLBITY) RESIDING IN BOLDON & DISTRICT AND ITS SURROUNDING LOCALITY.

**Activities:** Life long learning in the third age of life. An organisation for the over 50's, no longer in employment, providing classes in a variety of subjects, lead by members for members. In addition there are monthly meeting with a guest speaker and occasional educational visits.
