Quest RDA has insurance cover with RDA UK and in line with RDA guidance has a safeguarding policy, a health and safety policy, a data protection policy and risk assessments are carried out regularly to ensure the safety of the group’s riders and volunteers. All coaches and many volunteers have up to date first aid certificates. Quest RDA operates from Laris Farm Equestrian Centre in Chobham and provides opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to ride and interact with horses and ponies to promote their physical and mental well-being.
Financial Review The group was successful in raising funds of £104,307. Expenses, in common with many RDA groups owning their own ponies are high and 2024-2025 was particularly costly as some ponies continue to require significant veterinary treatment. The group maintains a sensory ride which is valuable to the riders but requires continuous upkeep. The group retains cash reserves of £122,988 and the trustees aim to retain one year’s trading costs to maintain the financial stability of the group. in the opinion of the trustees will continue to operate as a going concern.
