CHAIRMANS REPORT AGM 2020
I would firstly like to thank all the officers and committee members of the BVHA for their effort and commitment during the past twelve months in relation to the running of the hall. It has been a successful year with the hall keeping its head above water.
Due to the Covid pandemic, the Hall was closed to users and has not been open to the public. There have been problems with the Service Level Agreement and insurance. These problems have now been rectified. It appears that we should have been paying the Public Liability Insurance since the Hall was taken over by the community.
Quotes have been obtained for replacement kitchen and windows which will be submitted to Brymbo Community Council as soon as they return to a normal pattern of meetings as they have only had 1 meeting this year. A quote has also been obtained for the redecorating of the Hall.
As for the ownership of the Hall, there is nothing to report. As far as I can ascertain there is breakdown of communication between Brymbo Community Council and Wrexham County Borough Council which I cannot see being resolved in the foreseeable future,
Due the Pandemic the AGM was put on hold until it was deemed safe to meet. The committee and the trustees were consulted and it was decided that the officers and trustees stay in place until an AGM.can be held under normal conditions.
