The trustees ensure that church Servi￿ are continually freely open to
anyone who wishes to attend, and actively encourage attendan￿. Social
responsilylty and care will continue to be promoted among regular
attendees. specifically expanding on the Christian principle of
loving one's neighbour in conduct and practice. This benefits the social
statu5 of the local communty and general public. There is nothing in the
purposes which should lead to hami, but safeguards are in pla￿ (e.g.
DBS checks for volunteers workn.ng wrth chisdren's groups).
Decisions over who benefrts from the church are guided by the Christian
faith itself, which indudes evangelism as a core element. It is therefore
seff-defining to L¥ing benefft to people beyond the immediate local
church. The Constituiion has clear guKlelines on confficts of
interest and Fersonal beneffts (using 5xoforma wording in the model from
the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches IFIEC)). The church
does operate a membership for vthich there is no charge,. membership is
bound to agreement to the Basis of Farth in the Constitution.
As such, members are bound also to the advan￿ment of the Christian
fa¢th and to the fijlfilment of the purposes of the church, to the benefit of
the general public in the communty. All servi￿$ and meets.ngs are clearly
publicised outside the building, in lrterature. and online. The facilrties are
locked when unoccupied. All seNices and activities are open to the
pu￿1C. From time to time, disruptive or threatening individuals may be
barred from enty for the protertion of others.
Summary of the main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects linclude within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
