We rely fully on volunteers. The majority
are asylum seekers and refugees,
luckily 90% of these have worked on the
land in their own country or have
horticulture and agriculture experience.
Those who are not the above are
‘casual’ volunteers, they tend to turn up
sporadically.

We continue to aid other not-for-profit
community organisations in governance
issues, policy issues and general
management and organisational help,
this always based on community
gardens, allotments etc..
We have partnered with other not-for-
profit entities to extend our range and
geographical area.
We have continued on a project as a
result of the National Lottery grant for
‘Know your Neighbourhood’, this is
bringing more people into our flagship
property thus getting good networking
which in turn, hopefully, we will get
more volunteers.
