The Iruslees, who are directors for the purposes of company law, present the annual report together
with the financial statements and auditors, report of the charitable company for the year ended 31
March 2025
Objectives and activities
Objects and aims
The objects of the charity are..
The promotion of any charitable purposes primarily for the benefit of the community in the Parish of
Gwinear-Gwilhian and in the event of the Charity having funds surplus lo the needs of this area for the
benefit of the communities In the Parishes of Camborne, Crowan, Sl Erth and Hayle, and in particular
lo promote Sustainable Development for the benefit of the said communities by..
The preservation, conservation and protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources,
The relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of 11fe in socially and economically
disadvantaged communities.,
The promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.
To advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the
protection, enhancement and reh2bililalion of the environment and lo promote study and research in
such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated lo the public at large.
Sustainable Development means a 'development which meets the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs.
In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public
benefit.

Achievements and performance
For the year ending 31st March 2025 the charity had two periods of applications for funding. In the
funding round ending 31st May 2024 Directors approved the Hayle Memory Café application lo fund
their aclivilies. Directors also continued lo provide a healthy breaktime option lo Busy Bodies
Pre-school, Connor Downs Academy and Gwinear Primary for the academic year. this Initiative being
a response lo the cost of living crisis. In the funding round ending 30th November 2024 Directors
approved applications.. the first being lor Hayle RFC replacement lighting and Busy Bodies
Pre-school replacement sheds.
Income of £11,567 was received from Hope Solar Farm and £39,560 was received from Churchlown
Solar Park. Interest earned on the 8usiness Savings account amounted lo £1,228.
Diana Hall and Jenny Tovey were re-elected as co-opted Directors.
The deadline for the next round of applications for grants is 31st May 2025 and has been advertised
throughout the parish and on social media. Advanced notifications of the AGM were sent lo the Parish
Council., GVA. CDRA, Gwilhian RA and Towans Partnership and published on the website and on
social media.

Financial review
The financial results of the charity are set out in the SOFA on page 8.
Policy on reserves
The charity's reseNes of £52,239 are held lo fund future grant applications. The reserves policy is lo
ensure that al no point will the balance in the bank fall below the commilled funds plus running costs.
Plans for future periods
Aims and key objectives for future periods
The GGSCF charity has Income from the two solar farms, Churchtown Farm Solar Park Ltd and Hope
Solar Park Ltd for the next 11 and 13 years respectively. The plan is lo continue with the original aims
the fund is for the benefit of the Community.

Nature of governing document
The charity is governed by ils memorandum and articles of association, and is a company limited by
guarantee.
There are seven appointed directors who are selected from people living or working in the Parish who
express an interest by responding lo the call for volunteer directors. The locus for selection is on what
experience people can offer. We look for demonstration of one or more of the following from each.

Recruitment and appointment of trustees
Directors were advertised for through the website, local newsletters and on the Parish Council website
and notice boards.
Directors may be appointed al any general meeting provided that the correct notice is executed by a
director enlilled lo vole al the meeting. A director may also be appointed by a board resolution bul the
director so appointed musl retire al the next annual general meeting and musl not be taken into
account in determining the directors who are to retire by rolalion.
Induction and training of trustees
On appointment directors receive the funding agreements and note of assignment. The directors are
expected lo be thoroughly familiar with the Articles of Association and the obligations of trustees and
directors, as sel out in the guidance on the Charity Commission and Companies House website.
Directors are required to confirm that they are up lo dale with these obligations once a year.

I report to the charity Iruslees on my examination Df the accounts of the Company for the year ended
31 March 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's Iruslees of Ihe Company land also Ils directors for the purposes of company lawl you
are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the
Companies Act 20061'lhe 2006 Acl'l.
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required lo be audited under Part
16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination
of your charity's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 I'lhe 2011 Aet'i.
In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no mattels have come lo my attention in connection

1 Charity status
The charity is limited by guarantee, incorporaled in England and consequently does not have share
capital. Each of the Iruslees is liable lo contribute an amount not exceeding £10 towards the assets of
the charity in the event of liquidation.
2 Accounting policies
Statement of compliance
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by
Charities." Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 (effective 1 January 20191 Icharilies SORP IFRS 10211, the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021. They also comply with the Companies Act
2006 and Charities Act 2011.
Basls of preparation
Gwinear-Gwithian Sustainable Community Fund meets the definition of a public benèfit entity under
FRS 102. Assets and li2bililies are initially recognised 21 historical cost or transaction value unless
otherwise staled in the relevant accounting FX)liey notes.
Going concern
The financial slalements have been prepared on a going Concern basis.
The Iruslees assess whether the use of going concern is appropriate i.e. whether there are any
material uncertainties related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubl on the ability of
the charity lo continue as a going concern. The Iruslees make this assessment in respect of a period
of one year from the date of approval of the financial stalemenls.
Income and endowments
Solar farm contributions are recognised when the Charity has enlitlemenl lo the ineorne, it is probable
that the income will be received and the amount can be measured with sufficient reliability.
Donations and legacies
Donations are recognised when the charity has been notified in writing of both the amount and
selllemenl dale. In the event that a donation is subject lo conditions that require a level of
performance by the charity before the charity is entitled lo the funds. the income is deferred and not
recognised until either those conditions are fully mel, or the fulfilment of those conditions is wholly
within the control of the charity and Il Is probable that these conditions will be fulfilled in the reporting
period.
Expenditure
All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or conslruclive obligation lo that expenditure, il is
probable selllemenl is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to
the applicable expenditure headings that aggregate similar costs lo that category.
