opportunities for peopl8 to play and volunteer. In 2024 over 6000 games ol crlckel were scheduled which represents a 11%
increase on 2023. Over 1400 lunlor fixlures were played across Ihe County and Ihere w85 8 65% increase in girl$ games
played.
We now have $8 Clubmark accredited clubs which demonstrates the games commitm•nl to 6n$ure clubs arv Safe,
welcoming and well govemed. We trained ovef 60 Safeguardin9 OffKers in addilion lo the 180+ we trained during 2022 &
2023.
Our Dlsabllity Cricket programme has grown Irom strength lo strength Ihls year, wilh tha gslablishmenl of 3 new Super 1's
Hubs. We now have 6 crlcket clubs In Derbyshire provldir¥J accesslble aThJ Incluslvo ¢rl¢kot as 'Dlsabllity Champlon Clubs..
The women's game in Derbyshire continues lo grow at a rapid rate. We now have 60 clubs In Oerbyshlre wlth one or more
women's leam, which represenls over half of our club$. This 1$ significanl progress lowards achievlng gendar equlty In the
game. bul there is 5ti11 a way to go! We now have 60 Clubs with over 100 leams playing in 8 variety of fomials across the
unty, representing a 27/0 increase on 2023. We had over 600 women play in our wom•nS softball fesllvals across thé
summer. We arg seeing pro9re5sion from our softball festivals lo regular comp8lilNo eJi¢kel in the East Mldlands Women's
league. We now have 52 teams in Ihe lea9ue.

Males, which is doing fanlaslic work lo provide a safe place for people wllh Dementia lo enjoy and take part in some physical
actlvity. We have regular atteThlees with over 30 people éngaged.
Our Walking crick8t PTogramm8 is growing year on year. We now have 5 centres running In the county with over 50
participants. including a centre specifically for people wth Parkinson's Disease.
We launched our 'Posilive Spin, programme aim9d at people living with Of effected by cancer, and we delivered 8 men's
mental health Pfogramme called 'Dad's. Bats and Chats,.

with all our stakeholders as we 8eek lo grow and diversify the game further in 2025.
All forms of league cricl(el on the rise in 2024 with over 6000 9ames Scheduled. Over 1400 games of junrjr ¢rick61 were
played. We inve$led close to £97.000 into cricket clubs lo develop facilities through County Grants with the aim of makin9
them more welcoming, inclusive and suslainable environments.
We ran a serles of development workshops botsveen Oclober 23 and September 2024. oroaging over 200 unlque dub
volunteers. The aim to provide regular updates and education to Ihe recreational game as woll as providing oppjrtunilies lor
dubs lo discuss challenges and provide solutions.
TRANSFORM THE WOMEN AND GIRLS GAME
We Continued lo priorllise the developmenl of Women's & Girls cricket in D8￿ySh1re in 2024 and we have continued lo $88
signifKanl gro￿. We have more Women and Girts involved in ciicket Ihan evér belora.
644 women look part in 28 80flball fèstlV8ls during 2024 8 17% increase in the number of players compared lo 2023. The
sofib811 festivals have eTh3aged a wide range of female participants ranging from age 14 Ihrough lo a98 75. 51•h of players
wero aged 41+ 60 clubs In Derbyshire now have a women's leam wilh 84 teams.
The East Midland$ Women's Crick81 League Is p18ylng a slgnlficant role in the growlh and sustalnablllty of the women's
game. In 2024, 52 team8 entered Ihe league which represents 27Yr• growth Irom 2023.
Our U12 girls league proved lo bè 8 success agaln In its fourth year with a 8 teams taklng part, playSn9 24 game6 and
engaging over 100 girfs. We also increased the number of Girls Dynamos Fe5tiva18 durin9 2024 which engaged 38 teams for
the flrst Ilme.
Our 9lrls porformance programme ￿ntInUeS to play a vllal role in both the growth of the wider girl8 game 8T￿ Ihe
developmenl of perfom)ance crlckelers. Over 133 girls recelved high quality coachlng and match play opportunitie8 during
2024, wllh 12 9lrls going on to represent De￿YShiTO on re9ional stage for tho 81aze duiing the summer. 3 girls $8¢ur•J
place¥ on the Blaze academy and 2 of Derbyshlre's pathway graduate8 represented England.
We recognlsed a need to recruit and train lemale coaches to div8rsfy our co8chiro WO￿lor¢0. In 2024 we trainod 42 fem818
¢oaches.
ENGAGE CHRILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
In 2024 we continued lo delivèr 8 hugo amount of activity in stale primary schools and engaged more Children in high quallty
coaching. In partn8rship wilh Chancè lo Shin8 wé deliv8r8d 2,380 hours of coachlng lo 110 prlmary 8cfK)ols. We engaged
12,000+ chlldren arKI engaged 400+ teachers, a eovo increase on 2023.
We prioritised d81ivery lo 42 schools in Ihè most disadvantaged aT88S with oveT 40Q/• of Ihelr chIld￿n In recelpt ol free school
meals. We wanled to lake ¢ri¢kel lo children who might nol gel Ihe opportunity without our programme.
Our National Programmes cnntinue to inspire an eroage childien from >1) to choose cricket. 2024 proved lo be another
successlul year in growing partlClP81ion through All Stars and t)ynamos Cricket. W& had 82 All Stars Centres 1109A increase
on 20231 and 63 Dynamos Cenlres 136°1• increase on 20231 running acro$s the county. We had 2044 54 year olds tske part
in All Stars and 1102 ￿11 year olds lake part in Dynamos. We had 11% growth in the number of All Stars participants and
42% growth in the number of Dynamos cenlres.
Female parti¢ipallon In both All Siars and Dynamos continue5 to increase with 29% female participants in All Stsrs and 370
female participants in Dynamos.
We conlinued our targeled approach lo increase ethnlc diversity amoThJst participants in National programm89. we incrgased
ethnic diVe￿IlY to over 15•h across both All Stars and Dynamos programme.
We are committed lo making cri¢kel a¢¢essible by removing eosl barriers to playlng crickel. In partnership with the ECB, we
provided 886 chIld￿n with funded places on our Natlonal Programmes.

We provided hlgh qualty Falcons coachin9 camps for children aged 5-13 all year round th￿ughoUt the school holidays,
giving children Ihe chance lo develop their skills in a fun and enjoyable environment! We eThJa9ed 746 parlicipants over the
year in our falcnns programme, 32% of those participants were female and we achieved 16% ethnic divernity on these
camps. 74 participants received financial assistance tolalling £7,400.
WORKFORCE & VOLUNTEERS
Our coach and volunleer development pro9rammg8 conlinu* lo inspire the next gengralion ol coaches to support the 9rowlh
of the 9ame. In 2024 we delivered 12 coach development courses, IrainiTr3 172 coaches, of which 25% were female and
25% ethnically diverse. We trained 61 safeguarding officers during 2024 of which 57% were female, helping to provide safe
and Incluslve clubs.
Young volunteers are key lo the long lerm suslainability of the garne. In 2024 we conlinu8d the Young Volunleefs
programme, further engagirvj Ihe 30 young people 8stsblished in 2023 in devèlopment workshops and volunle8ring
opportunitles. We formed our Youth Coundl. made up of 14 young people. lo help inform the direcllon of junior cricket In the
County.
We recognlsed and celebrated the success of over 120 volunteer8 th￿Ugh Ihe Cricket Collective Volunlegr award8,
culminating in an annual awards event In Augusl where we provlded hospllality and entertalnment to over 100 award
r￿MIna$S and wInne￿.

sessions.
REMOVING BARRIERS TO ACCESS AND IMPROVING OPPORTUNITY

During 2024 wè awarded Acce88 lo Crickel Grants for those in need of financial support lo help fund actlvily and purchase
equipment. We awarded 60 Indlvidual grants during 2024, lolalling £6.642. 41% of Ihose awarded grants were female and
31% glhnic811y diverse.
Coa¢h Bur•arles
We provided financial support to under-repre5enled group5 and lo those experien¢ing linan¢ial hardship lo help increase the
iversity of our ￿aChIng workforce. In 2024 we supported 36 coaches, 30 lemale and 11 elhni¢alty diverse. awarding £4,568
in total.
National Programme Bursaries
We delivered 67 bursary funded pro9rammes across Ihe county lo provide free access lo chlldren from lower socio-economic
groups. In total we provided 886 participants with fre• arxess to an All Stars or Dynamos Programme.

Golf Day
We delivered our first Charily Golf Day al Modèy Hayes durlng September 2024. The event raiséd ovér £4,000 to support th

Iftar 2024
We weknmed guests from the Dèrby Muslim communty lo open fast during Ramadan. The Iftar event brought together

2019. The company became a regbstered charity on 14 February 2014.

Govemance of the DCF is rèqulred lo comply with a County Govemance Framework defined by the England and Wale8
Cricket Board (ECB). and wh￿h corresponds lo the Sport England Cod8 for Sports Governance (20171. The ECB Counly
Govemance Framowork refers to seven key principles outlined below, and includes detsil6d requlrements for each of the
principles.

Trustees have confirmed their underslaTrJing of the EC8 Safe9uarding Policy (Safe Hands). and their responslbllitles for
SafaguaTding. A Truslee has designaled lead responsibility for SafeguardiTrJ. and is Chair of the Saleguarding Committee
{Robert Blenkinsop).
Equity. Divev5ity. and Inclusion (EDI} is integral lo the DCF objective lo widen and increase participation in cricket. The DCF
has an EDI plan %thich is reviewed and published annually, and a report on progress a93insl that plan 15 also published
8nnually. Progress 89ainst the 2024 EDI Plan was reviewed al Board meetings during the ygar. The Board in¢lud•$ a
Trustee with lead responsibility for EDI {Robert Blenklnsop). The grogress made on EDI by Ihe DCF during 2023124 resulled
in a "leading counlf raling by the ECB.
