Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

January 2023 to December 2023 figures:

- 50 Monday sessions were run with a total of 309 attendances. This is a slight increase from the previous year of 285 attendances.

- 51 Wednesday sessions were run with a total of 1070 attendances. This is a slight increase from the previous year of 986 attendances.

- 49 Friday sessions were run with a total of 715 attendances. This is a slight decrease from the previous year of 835 attendances.

- A total of 150 sessions were run with a total of 2094 attendances.

The fees for Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions remained the same as for 2022 for all age groups. The fees continue to represent good value for money as the cost of living increases.

The club continued to purchase new equipment to replace faulty or worm out equipment. Fencers unable to purchase their own equipment could continue to loan the club equipment for as long as they needed as part of their session fee.

Coaches were available at all Wednesday and Friday sessions to give group or individual lessons for beginners and experienced fencers.

We had around 20 fencers both adult and junior competing at various levels from beginner to national competitions. Fencers regularly returned with a selection of medals and large smiles on their faces even in defeat.
