Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Due to covid-19, adults were only able to fence for three months during this period. For children it was four months.

In March 2020, ten fencers entered the British Youth Championship (BYC) qualification competition. Eight of these qualified for the National Competition in May. Unfortunately this competition was cancelled due to covid restrictions.

The club was unable to run any beginner classes or run the Derbyshire Junior Series.

The club received a £2500 grant from Derbyshire County Council covid community fund.

When the club returns to normal operation the grant will be spent on new equipment for beginners and coaching courses.
