## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

During the year we have only taken in dogs and cats.

Most animals come to us via the public contacting us when they feel they can no longer care for the animal or become aware of a stray animal in their locality. A smaller proportion come via Veterinary Surgeries or Stray Shelters.

We neuter, microchip and flea/worm treat all animals. We also vaccinate dogs. All animals are given Veterinary treatment as required.

We continue to pay for any long term problems that are identified whilst an animal is in our care, even after the animal’s adoption. Those animals unable to be re-homed remain in long term foster care for the remainder of their life.

We also have carried out vast TNR( through humane Trapping) schemes of both colonies and individuals that are brought to our attention, Neutering and Returning/Relocating feral cats to a safe environment where they can be assured of food, shelter and veterinary treatment as required.

Feral kittens have been socialised and subsequently rehomed into a home environment.
