## **Trustees’ Annual report**

Gathering of the saints’ trustees has the responsibility of co-operating with presiding Pastor Veronica Pinneh in promoting and bring to reality the aims and purposes of this ministry.

## **Objectives and Activities**

The trustee members are committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our Church and to be become part of the Church family. The trustees have been seeking ways in which we can better serve our community. We seek ways to improve our services to accommodate people from different ethnic back ground and build them into one big happy family of God. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, scripture, music and communion. We encourage members to live out their faith as part of the ministry and in accordance to the scriptures through:

Worship, prayer, daily scripture reading Developing their knowledge of God Personal relationship with God. Provision of pastoral care and Group Bible study.

.

## **Achievements and Performance**

## **Worship and Prayer**

Gathering of the Saints continues actively in weekly Bible study and prayer meetings, and this has been beneficial and spiritual uplifting for every member. To save cost, members continue to hold meetings: Bible studies, prayer conference and Sunday services in person and via Zoom on Thursday’s weekly Bible study. The weekly prayer meetings provide an opportunity to share each other’s problems by choosing a prayer point that addresses each individual’s circumstances. Group Bible study is usually a time to socialise and table fellowship. The Pastor regularly visits and makes phone calls to members and encouraged members to keep in touch with the Ministry. Since the restrictions of gathering together has been lifted, socialising has returned to normal.

Our Ridley Street market out-reach had stopped altogether because the council would not renew our licensing because of new co-vid rules regarding traders. Thus, to reach our community **,** we have resolved to street witnessing, door to door and sometimes open-air

preaching, where we offer prayers, encouragement and emotional support to people in different communities. Sometimes, we travel out of our community to other cities (Norwich, Plymouth, Portsmouth) and others to evangelise (Open air preaching), providing free Bibles, Christian books, leaflet, tracts, etc.

## **Pastoral Care**

The committee ensure the pastor visits members when needs arise. The pastor also offers online advice and prayers to members and new contacts that we sometime make during our street witnessing. Some do phone for prayers. We continue to look for a new place of worship but it has been difficult to secure a place and the cost is so high that it is becoming unaffordable.

## **Mission and Evangelism**

Helping those in need and share the gospel with the lost, is our priority as a ministry and as a way of demonstrating our faith. The trustees continue to support the ministry through donations, which in turn had enabled us to support other ministries in mission outreach and evangelism. Supporting other Ministries nationally and internationally is our means of reaching the lost whom we could not reached physically or personally. From time to time, we carry out door to door evangelism and street witnessing. Door to door and street witnessing remains our means of reaching the spiritually lost for Christ.

## **Ecumenical Relationship**

Our pastor attends minister’s fellowship meeting, once every month and monthly prayer evening with other ministries and denominations. The Pastor attend meetings with other Ministers in person and via Zoom. And she remains a member of the International Ministers Fellowship (IMF) UK, a member of the Believers Evangelical Fellowship (BEF), UK and Jesus’ Ministries UK where she meets and interacts with other Ministers to enhance her knowledge of Scripture and spiritual growth.

## **Financial Review**

Total receipts funds from 1[st] June 2021 to 31[st] May 2022, in tithes and offering was **£2,556.62** And the amount B/F from previous financial year was: **£21,725.65** . Please see the annual account for more details.

## **Structure, governance and management**

The method of appointing a trustee member is set in the Church representation rules. At Gathering of the Saints, membership of trustees consists of the Pastor, elders and senior

members of the Church. The trustees are responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the ministry including decisions on how the ministry’s fund is spent. The trustees meet every three months in person and via zoom to discuss issues and take decisions on matters that will help move the ministry forward.
