## **Nature of governing document and how the charity is cons8tuted:** The Associa=on is a 

Charitable Incorporated Organisa=on, and the governing document is lodged with the Charity Commission. The Officer Trustees are: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. All these officers, apart from the Secretary, were elected at the October 2021 Annual General Mee=ng and unfortunately the Treasurer has had par=cular difficul=es in accessing the bank and banking systems. This resulted in delays with financial issues which took some =me to resolve. 

**Recruitment and appointment of new trustees** : All trustees resign before, and trustees are elected at, the AGM held in October.  All trustee posi=ons are adver=sed when the AGM no=ce is published. Officers can be in posi=on for a maximum of five years. 



**Objec8ves and ac8vi8es** of the inhabitants of the parish of Budbrooke without dis=nc=on of sex, sexual orienta=on, age, disability, na=onality, race or poli=cal, religious or other opinions the provision of facili=es for advancing educa=on, furthering health, recrea=on or other leisure =me occupa=on of individuals who have need of such facili=es by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condi=ons of life of the said inhabitants. Provides facili=es available for hire by groups or individuals. 

**Achievements and Performance:** The Community Centre is used by a range of regular groups, including  Pre-school, Toddler group, uniformed organisa=ons (Scouts, Brownies and Rainbows), dance and fitness groups, and coronary care support groups. The Community Centre also acts as a Polling Sta=on on behalf of Warwick District Council for local and general elec=ons. The Centre hosts Parish Council mee=ngs and events and is grateful for the ongoing support of Budbrooke Parish Council. 

Whilst COVID was s=ll a feature during December and January resul=ng is some cancelled events, generally, during term =me, the Centre is booked on most weekdays and evenings with regular users represen=ng voluntary, not-for-profit or charitable organisa=ons. Thus, leaving weekends available for ad hoc bookings.  This year BCA has resumed its =metable of social and educa=onal events that also generate addi=onal income.   These ac=vi=es include Quizzes, Bingo, Barn Dance, cookery demonstra=ons, seasonal events (Easter Crabs, Christmas lantern walk and Santa sleigh) and, in this Pla=num Jubilee year, special celebra=ons were held. The 200 Club Locery con=nues to grow and bring in much needed funds. 

(including a new roof) and toilets has been resurrected with new plans drawn up and work expected to take place during school summer holidays in 2023.   It is an=cipated that CIL funding will be available for this work.

**Policy on Reserves:** The associa=on retains in reserve a minimum of its previous year’s basic running costs. 

**Trustees’ statement** they have complied with the du=es in sec=on 17(5) of the Chari=es Act 2011 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
