and we have needed to adjust our
approach in the light of both Government
instruction and advice from FIEC to whom
we are affiliated
Our purposes have not wavered and we
have been creative in using the
opportunities that we have identified
adopting a hybrid approach of meeting in
person where we can and using technology
to ensure we reach our existing members
and congregation and those looking to
access to explore the Christian faith.
Livestreaming of our services has in fact
furthered our purposes beyond what we
might have normally expected and we are
planning to continue with virtual
opportunities as part of our general
operations
We are delighted that we have been able to
meet either in person or virtually on every
Sunday of this past year and we have in
the same way been able to provide for our
young people through dedicated material
on youtube when not meeting in person, in
family services and also in person when
allowed
We have met weekly for prayer, again
largely online and have been able to run
some midweek meetings using the zoom

has continued and our Mums and Toddlers
group has met both virtually and in person
Our support of individuals and
organisations who carry out mission
activities locally, nationally and
internationally has continued unabated.

enhance lives both spiritually and
practically; we have continued to focus on
this through our core activities and in
addition have reached out to the local
community in practical ways
We hold a morning worship service and
this has been online only when necessary
and then in person / livestreamed
whenever this option has been available. In
recent months, we have moved to a two
service morning format to allow for all those
wishing to attend under the restriction of
social distancing. We believe that we have
continued to reach around 300 people
during a typical month. We have been
amazed by random communication from
people accessing our services with whom
we have had no previous contact.
We have maintained our youth work initially
online, then with family services. There has
been huge creativity and around 40
youngsters (up to 10 years old) attending.
We have run Christianity explored online.
Our fortnightly Connect Groups have been
meeting online and these have served to
really keep people connected through a
period of unprecedented separation and in
some cases isolation and loneliness.
Our work in advice and job search
Christians against poverty has continued
and we appointed a community links
coordinator this year to increase profile and
ensure that people knew we are still
available to help
We have been delighted to reach out to the
local community through local schools who
have introduced us to families in particular
hardship. We have been funding shopping
trips to help alleviate some of those
