Activities
The school is extremely fortunate to receive regular voluntary parental donations, which for the
financial year 2024125 totalled £16,942, this include5 a very generous donation of £10,000 specifically
for use by the music department. Voluntary donations are also received from sixth form parents for
the benefit of 5iXth form activities and for the financial year 2024125 totalled £2,940. Gift Aid can be
claimed on a significant number of these donations.
The music department organised several music concerts throughout the year which raised a total of
£5320.96 (before costs) for the benefit of music activities within the school, They a150 held a
fundraising campaign for 'The Friends of Simon Langton Girls Grammar School Music Department"
via JustGiving which has raised £4129.76 to date and in addition to this received a donation of £300
from The Rotary Club.
During the year, the school received donations of £4742.45 (plus an additional donation of £2000 via
the JustGiving campaign for the music department) from the Langton Family Association ILFA}, who
fundraise on behalf of the school.
In addition to fundraising for the school, other fundraising activities for va rious charities were held.
Each year the students nominate several charities to raise money for. Money is raised through non-
uniform days, bake sales and fayres. For the academicyear from Sept 2023 to July 2024 the nominated
charities were Catching Lives, Kent Refugee Action Network, National Autistic Society, Black Minds
Matter and Albert Kennedy Trust. For the academic year from Sept 2024 to Jul 2025 the nominated
charities are Catching Lives, Cancer Research, Childline, WaterAid, Save the Children and Dogs Trust.
In particular, the annual sponsored walk held in September 2024 raised £11,546.53 of which 50% went
to the school and 50% to the other charities for 2024/25. During the financial year money was also
raised for Macmillan, Taylor Made Dreams, Porchlight, Foodbank and Demelza House.

SIMON LANGTON GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL FUND
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
I report on the accounts of Simon Langton Girls Grammar School Voluntary Fund for the year ended
31 March 2025 which comprise the summary of accounts statement.
Respertive responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The schools governing body is responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The governing body
consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 20111"the
Charities Act") and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the account5 under section 145 of the Charities Act;
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission {under Section 145{51(bl of the Charities Act, and
to state whether particular matter5 have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinerfs statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the seeking of explanations from the trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would
be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion 15 given as to whether the accounts present a
'true and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examinerfs statement
In connection with my examination, no material matter5 have come to my attention which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect-
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and
content of accounts set out in the Charities {Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other
than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should
be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

We have audited the accounts of the above Fund in accordance with KCC'S Voluntary
