Activities

The aims and objectives of the Charity are to provide a new Community Building which will include facilities for education, information, economic development, sport and recreation. This new Community Hub will go a very long way to meet the need of the residents of Halstead and the surrounding area and ensure that Halstead is a sustainable, vibrant and thriving place to live.

Objects: A) To Further Or Benefit The Residents Of Halstead And The Neighbourhood, Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Residents.b) The Charity And Its Successors Shall Ensure That The Land Is Not Used For Residential Purposes; Andc) Subject To Article 34, The Charity And Its Successors (Not Including Any Chargee In Accordance With Article 4.1D Shall Not Sell Or Transfer Title Of The Landin Furtherance Of These Objects But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Have Power To Establish Or Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre And To Maintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Charity In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.
