The purpose of the GPA is to enhance the experience of our pupils in school and to generally support the school. At the beginning of this year we received very important and transformative news for the future of our school, which created a productive dialogue between the parents and the school. Turbulent as it may had seemed at times, we remained committed in sustaining our community together and we look forward to seeing the school implement the changes it announced with our continued support. We organised our events during the year encouraging our community to come together and exchange ideas during our social coffee meetings every term organised by Clara Jones and also raised additional funds to the subscriptions we receive to enable us to fulfil all of the bids put forward to us. This year we expanded the Christmas fair in the PAC to attract more stallholders; we have managed to raise a substantial amount of money again by running a raffle and see this event going from strength to strength each year. Massive thanks to Celine Le Boedec-Hughes and her team for her commitment. More recently we held a Quiz Night hosted by Eve Parker and catered for by Chartwells. Whilst table numbers were down in comparison to last year, the event was still a great success. The money raised by the GPA from events and subscription means that we were able to support all of the bids from members of the Godolphin community. All of the items we have purchased have made a huge impact to the upgrading of the school’s facilities and bound to leave a lasting legacy in the advancement of our pupils’ experience at school. With the wonderful support of Natasha White from the school shop, we have managed to create an additional stream of income from the sale of second hand school uniforms donated by the parents. We are going to need to encourage more parents to support this endeavour. Our Summer Party organised by Sally Ragbourne-Hawling is due to take place in June and looks very promising, with a fantastic live band to uplift us all as we come to the end of this academic year, with some great items donated for our silent and live auction. A big thank you to all of you for supporting this celebratory evening. I hope to have more information on the existing year reps and vacant posts in our committee over the new academic year, as it will signal our efforts for our succession plan for next year.
