## **CHELMSFORD FURNITURE PROJECT TRUSTEE’S REPORT YEAR ENDED 31[st] JANUARY 2021** 

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** 

The charity objective is to relieve financial hardship by recycling furniture, clothes and other household items to those in need.  The provisions of services to individuals in need and charities or other organizations working to prevent or relieve poverty. 

The charity was not active for the year ended 31[st] January 2021 due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. 

## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE** 

The Charity intends on resuming normal activities once the Pandemic has passed. 

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** 

The statement of financial activities shows total receipts during the year of £0 and payments of £4,221, resulting in net payments of £4,221. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

There are currently no cash reserves as the charity has not traded for the year ended 31[st] January 2021. 



## **CHELMSFORD FURNITURE PROJECT TRUSTEE’S REPORT YEAR ENDED 31[st] JANUARY 2021** 

## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT** 

The charity is constituted under the model constitution for Charitable Incorporated Organizations and was registered as a CIO on 3[rd] February 2014. 

New trustees are appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the existing trustees.  In selecting individuals for appointment, the trustees have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. 

The trustees make available to each new trustee, on or before his or her first appointment: 

- A copy of the current version of the constitution; and 

- A copy of the CIO’s latest Trustees’ Annual report and statement of accounts. 

## **DEVELOPMENTS AFTER THE YEAR END** 

The Coronavirus pandemic resulted in the closure of the charity’s shop until February 2022.  The Trustees considered winding up the Charity, but decided against this course of action when Mr Emin was appointed in July 2020.

## **CHELMSFORD FURNITURE PROJECT INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES YEAR ENDED 31[st] JANUARY 2021** 

I can confirm Mr Emin has informed me that the charity did not trade for the year ended 31[st] January 2021.  The stock was initially kept at the Charities registered address but then relocated into storage to save the expense of rental costs.
